I am a woman and have landed here by accident because my email notification from reddit showed this post. You are all right. If a woman tells you that she wants to break up with you take it as honest. The only reason I can see where a woman would do that is if she is hurt by something you did and so says bye-bye to then gauge if you are really interested in her OR she may leave due to being 100% sure about not wanting to be in a relationship with you. The thing about most women is that we are ve…

If you are still young you will get there soon. At some point in life you will say "yes" or "no" because you know what these mean and the consequences. It is true that early in life we mostly all are swayed by others around us.

I re-read my comment. I hope I haven't made you go through all the women you have met in your mind so that you would ask yourself who they really were. I truly was curious if that is something people using dating apps think about.

Wouldn't it bother you to see that the woman has been with other women for example? This is something you can't see in a picture. And some women may hide this information? If you knew they were with a butch type before you would you not think that you are not their type after all because you don't want to be seen as a man with more feminine features? I don't know how to explain this but it is something I have always wondered about. If you don't know what the woman wants how do you know that you …

Have you actually used dating apps? Please be honest because then I have more questions for you if you have.

How do you know if a woman is interesting just by looking at a photo? What do you look at to give you clues?

What do you mean by "lower quality". Is it true of both genders? Who actually goes on dating apps? I don't use them and never have. I divorced after being with someone for many many years and have only felt a spark by someone I see in real life. I could be seeing the most beautiful person on a picture but that is not an indication of anything. In fact when I look at pictures of nice looking people on magazines I don't like them like other do.

Was she a virgin when you met her? It looks like it. Why isn't it a good feeling? Let me tell you that many men would want a woman who hasn't slept around. Haven't your buddies told you this?

I wholeheartedly disagree with the fact that you have to see a therapist. What you do is totally normal. It looks like you both like each other a lot and also feel attached to each other. This is normal for a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. In sum: you don't have a problem. Say what you feel. If you don't she will notice. And if you lie she will notice as well. Then trust goes out the window and you have other problems to deal with then.

You are not telling us for how long she has been your girlfriend. Remember that girlfriends (unless they are cheating on you) do see you as their boyfriend. Why would gifts be seen as odd. Many men and women don't date until they find the right one. Why is it a problem for you that she likes you a lot. "I love you" indicates that she cares - that there is a connection. There is nothing weird about that. Be firm with your intentions though. Tell her the whole truth and do not hold back. What you …

I like your reply because we often construct a reality about others which does not match the truth.

I have read your post and the 1st thing that came to mind is that you are indeed good looking (you have been told so) and that may be the problem. The women who will like you may not be around you now if this theory I have read about is true (a matching theory). Women may not be approaching you because they are afraid if they consider you too cute for them. If I were you I would just talk to women as if they were your sister (if you have one you know what I mean) and if they like you things will…

I think you are out of line here. Interesting people make for more liking and thus more intimacy.

I don't know how old you are but keep in mind that all women are serious if not inebriated (drunk) or under some other type of influence. Just like the magazines say - women do look for a steady relationship. Unless the woman is someone you see yourself having a baby with leave it alone. That is the test for men I think. If you do look at her that way then all the rest will come naturally. She is like you. You have to treat her like you would like to be treated. Do not put her on a pedestal to o…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
