Thanks for this! I'm revamping my style as I lose weight and find myself leaning towards more alternative looks as I pick my outfits. However, \I have a hard time finding advice on how to make this look more feminine. This gives me some new outfit ideas!

I feel like this thread was made for me because I was a red pill teenager until about a month ago, when I turned 20. Here's some ideas: To echo u/talexanderc, stay in good shape. It's easier to stay in shape than it is to get in shape after piling on the pounds like I'm currently doing. Maybe you like simple exercises like running on the treadmill, but if you don't, picking up an active hobby will help motivate you to stay on track. This ties in with number 2: Get a hobby. (Social media, hanging…

There's outrage in the comments, of course, but her attitude is definitely refreshing. Plus, she looks great in vintage clothing.

this. Healthy examples and positive encouragement are the most helpful for younger children. I grew up with a lot more negative reinforcement than positive, and all it did was send me toward the body positivity path. (Thank God I saw the error of my ways before it got out of hand.) An emphasis on a healthy lifestyle goes a long way with young kids.

Yay, I've just started a goal setting system for myself! Glad y'all are on the same page! This month, I want to: Work out every day. For me, this usually involves taking a walk/run. Cut sugar/dessert consumption to once a week. Finish my transfer application. Finish my Christmas gifts, and deliver them. Write a daily to do list every night for the next day. Study for finals (without cramming it all in at the last minute like I always do).

Yeah. It seems odd that these women get so fixated on the "how." Does it matter that much? Also, do they think their husbands have no critical thinking skills? Lol

Exactly. I was saying elsewhere that they WAY she talks about him makes it sound like she loves him-at least, not in a husband and wife sort of way.

The way emotional labor is described to me seems like something that would be a big problem if you a) naturally overthink things or b) have an anxiety disorder. I don't fault anyone for either of these things, but you shouldn't take it out on your husband.

My eyebrows raised at the SAHM needing a maid too, but I don't see a problem with it if that what their family decides is best. However, I lost what little sympathy I had for her when she threw a tantrum over the boxes (without even thanking her husband for cleaning the bathroom) and barely even explained what the problem was. Like my parents told me as a toddler: Use your words.

I don't understand why feminists write these articles that call their husbands sexist and clueless and then act surprised when they get dumped or cheated on. The way they write about their poor spouses makes it seem like they don't love them at all.

Here's my opinion: Obviously, this relationship a hot mess from a RP perspective. I think you guys all know why. But I kind of thought it was a bit of a failure on the BP end, too. Doesn't feminism espouse (or claim to espouse) speaking your mind and standing up for yourself? The author seems to bottle in her desires for egalitarianism inside and then proceeds to whine like a victim when her husband doesn't do exactly what she wants. Seems counterintuitive to me on both ends of the RP/BP spectru…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
