I care for my elderly parents, but I'm a man. I will be there for them at a whim, even if it's simply to adjust their phone when it was accidentally set to silent mode. Grow facial hair. The Asian men with beards I've seen always have girlfriends, often white girlfriends. I think it's attributed to being a more masculine feature or having a feature most Asian men don't. If that doesn't work, bulk up or get fit, and improve your social skills by building a larger friend network with a variety of types and characters. Don't stick to people who have similar interests, branch out and be curious of others. You'll eventually meet new people that way.

I live in a big city and my experience doesn't match what you are seeing. The majority of the time I see looksmatched couples and the minority would be where the woman is more attractive. The time where I see where the man is more attractive tends to be in the 40s-50s age range, but I think that is because society says men age better than women under our social expectations ie. men are judged on their success vs. women judged on their beauty.
