Of course the situation is complex. But that is not what the article is about at all. This guy has to pay $30,000 to this woman, who wrote his name down as the father. So in the meantime, you think this situation is ok because the alternative would be a harder life for the child? It's ok to take a person who had nothing to do with the kid and force them to pay child support to a mother, even with all this dna evidence saying it's not his kid? If you truly believe that, then you also have to think its ok to pick single parent homes and randomly match them up with a man to pay child support payments in order to make this kids life easier. I understand the difficult situation this puts a child in but you are advocating that a person who had nothing to do with the creation of the child has to pay a massive amount of money for him. That's akin to just picking a person off the street at random (well not random, almost always male) and saying telling them "hey this kids dad skipped out on them a couple of years back, but somebody has to pay for the kid and she wrote your name down, you owe us $20,000.
