This is Title IX at work. The school can punish men for crimes that a court of law proves they didn't commit. Democrats baked trans rights issues into Title IX so if you openly oppose colleges holding kangaroo courts that almost exclusively target young men, you're suddenly a transphobe who wants to remove trans student's rights.

I think the bigger problem isn’t that men need a space/purpose exclusive to men, it’s more that we are forcing women into positions men have traditionally filled (in the name of equality) when it’s wholly unnecessary. Tell that to Title IX and the law. My biggest issue with it is that it wraps back around to treating women as less than men. By not providing men the same protection as an intoxicated woman, the implication is that woman are more unintelligent/stupid/foolish while intoxicated than men are.
