That's not how statistics work at all. Population statistics say nothing about individual people, they're just used to describe general trends. Why do you personally believe that statistics are worthless in economics? I need to see the reasoning behind this.

Quite an extensive amount. I just can't get behind their core idea that Economics is inherently anti-empirical/non-scientific. The complete rejection of applied statistics and econometric techniques is quite frankly absurd.

He's probably a proponent of a fringe school like Austrian Economics. Tons of Ancaps and libertarians on Reddit eat that stuff up.
