Thank you for cross posting this. This is great to see

I think the feminist were in general very well spoken and reasonable. The only thing I really disagreed with was them bringing up the wage gap because it has been debunked many times.

now people are gonna assume men's rights activists are like incels. Many of us already get called ''incels'' when we just try to speak about men's rights. this doesnt help the cause at alll.

they put in an incel to represent men's rights activists .-. and they didnt even talk about the high male suicide rates or that many male issues.

Even if they were all men which we can’t really know it doesn’t make it any less bad. It’s still an issue

Yeah but not to this degree. There were like around 50 people not taking him serious. If it was the other way around there would be a few at most.

I’m really sorry u had to go through that. I’m glad she is ur ex wife atleast.

How do u know?

I live in Europe and I think Western Europe would be more accepting but Eastern Europe no way. Mental health can already be a taboo there. Let alone male sexual assault/rape. Also Eastern European countries have a high (male) suicide rate sadly.

I commented the link in the comments but here u go: https://www.reddit.com/r/relationship_advice/comments/dasd42/my_27m_motherinlaw_groped_me_and_my_wife_25f_wont/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

I think it really depends on where u live and what people u surround yourself with. Like in less western countries you will be laughed at for stuff like this happening to you. But even in western countries there are many stories of guys getting mocked/made fun of by the POLICE for reporting sexual assault/rape. Reddit tends to more progressive then irl too. I do agree that they are a minority but it really depends.

When a woman post about sexual assault she gets a lot of support and there aren’t really comments like this (and if there are like 1 or 2 but not 50). Of course I don’t know what specifically these guys would say but from the posts I have seen it’s never this bad when a woman posts something like this.
/r/MensRights29/09/19 11:57 PM

But that’s the point. These people don’t care about you and don’t know you so they can give non-biased advice.

Yeah but all together there were like 50 people not taking OP serious and I think that is a lot. I’m glad most people have common sense and downvoted those comments but it’s sad that people comment stuff like that in the first place. And I know for sure that there wouldn’t be comments like that if it was the other way around.

This is a men’s rights issue because it shows that many people still don’t take male sexual assault/rape serious. There were like atleast 50 people not taking OP serious.

Yeah that’s true and I’m glad. But the fact that there were so many comments like that in the first place is sad.

Not to mention that male rape is not even considered rape in some countries.

People not taking you serious makes it’s SO MUCH WORSE. It can make you relive the trauma all over again. Especially if they don’t take u serious because of your sex. (Which you have no control over)

I think the issue is that this wouldn’t happen at all if it was the other way around and that there still so many comments that are so negative and not taking him serious. I posted the link to the post so people can also form their own opinion and look themselves. I’m really glad and happy that so many comments DO take his issue serious. We can see things are changing and more people start to take male sexual assault/rape serious but we still have a long way to go.

Atleast he knows her true colors now so he can find someone that actually takes him serious and cares about him.

It’s still disregarding his issue and not taking him serious though. But I get what u mean

the issue is that there are SO MANY comments in the first place. Things like this wouldnt be said if it was the other way around. I am really glad things are improving and more people take male sexual assault/rape serious but we still have a long way to go.

there were many more comments. this isnt even all

im glad some people were actual helpfull and understanding but that doesnt change the fact that there were so many comments not taking him serious. its a problem.

No. Parents decide to circumcise their children for multiple reasons. One of them is because they think it looks better. I’m not talking about what I think of it or anything. I’m talking about what some parents think of it. If parents say that circumcising would make the penis look better then that is sexual.

You sound so dumb by trying to change this around and put it on me. Parents don’t always decide what good for their childeren. Not all parents are good parents or responsible parents.
/r/MensRights15/07/19 10:46 PM

U can’t decide what’s “right” for your child when they don’t get a say on it and it will be permanent. People circumcise their child because they think it looks better. In my opinion that is sexualizing. And I don’t only look at boys sexually? I don’t even know where u got that from but go off.
/r/MensRights15/07/19 10:39 PM

By circumcising your child YOU are pushing your agenda on them without giving them a choice. Honestly I wouldn’t mind it as much if the person decides to do it themselves when they are above the age of 18. But that’s not the case most of the time. And saying it looks better is honestly disgusting. Like a little boy is getting circumcised because it looks better. Ur sexualizing little boys by saying that but whatever.

Why do u keep commenting on this subreddit if u don’t agree with it anyway? Just fuck off.

But they get deemed as weak by both men AND woman. I don’t think they should put the blame only on men/toxic masculinity
/r/MensRights18/06/19 05:30 PM

But they put the blame on toxic masculinity only. Even though females also can be toxic towards male rape victims.

“Men are less likely to report their assault then females. This is due to toxic masculinity and the stigma surrounding sexual violence against men” This is what they said in the post. Yikes

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
