Then get over it. She's probably just into you enough that she wanted to know what was going on in your life and wanted to know how progress was going before you were officially single again.

SHE DID.

She was probably trying g to see if there was DV involved Or infidelity on the part of OP. unless she really wanted you to be divorced. Which is also a good possibility. She likes OP so much that she's following along because it feels good to her to think about OP being single again.

OP not mentioning that this woman is hot enough that he's willing to entertain this. Please keep that in mind.

Eh, a lot of men end up happier with the mother of their kids than anyone else. Do they need a lot of work on this relationship? Yeah! But there's something to be said for knowing what you're getting into vs the unknown, and it's better for the kids, too.

Prior to divorce did you and your spouse attempt marriage counseling and what was the outcome? I suspect your sample is biased. The outcome was divorce, obviously.

Why wouldn't it be? Pension is just deferred income.

Do you think they allow doctors/nurses with Covid to treat immunocompromised patients (or any patients)? No, just like they wouldn't if you had influenza or tuberculosis. They'd either treat you as a patient or send you home and you'd use your sick days.

It's not so simple to claim a religious exemption either (it can be challenged easily). Many employers are accepting exemptions en masse because 1) it's legally treacherous for them to challenge them and 2) it's an easy way for them to avoid losing an employee.

There's a reason why there are measles and small pox outbreaks in those antivaxxer communities! Wait, did you just say there are smallpox outbreaks?

You’re saying that people should keep their jobs without following the rules of their employer. Can an employer make a rule that says "if you have one of the following diseases, you cannot work here"?

I am reading into this too much, but could I be on the hook for more is she simply can’t work? Depends. What is your gross income, her previous gross income and her expected gross income after losing her current job? Are you the custodial parent?

OP's wife will not get a PhD in neurobiology either. That doesn't mean she's voluntarily giving up a neurobiologist's salary. She's getting fired from her job. Whether that's because of vaccines or because she fucked the boss's wife doesn't matter. What matters is if she can work and at what salary. I'll end this pointless conversation by saying that all it takes is OP's wife claiming that her religious beliefs prevent her from getting this vaccine and your argument blows up. OP need not do anyt…

This person is freely choosing to leave her job OP never said that. Where did you get the idea she was voluntarily leaving her job? OP said she will be losing her job.

she is still capable of earning the same amount of money if she chooses to. Then why are we having this conversation? The assumption is she cannot make money, not that she can but chooses not to.

but if you choose to make less, you are obligated at the previous amount. But not if you're unable to find work at a higher rate. Imagine a surgeon who gets injured while rollerblading. He no longer can work as a surgeon, so his income will be reduced and he'll be able to petition for adjustment to CS.

There are other places, at least for now she could work for. Exactly. And whatever change in income she ends up with because of that will be a factor in CS payments.

Indeed. As if the judge hasn't seen an angry spouse in a divorce case before.

This. She's made a list of all the things she wants. Anything not on the list, she doesn't want. You go back with a list of things from that list that you agree with. She comes back and argues that some things you crossed off need to be restored. This goes back and forth until you agree on the list.

Talk to a lawyer? I don't know what the laws are in CA, but you may be on the hook for alimony, too. You also may not be able to be totally destitute in regards to child support. I think you may be on the hook for at least a minimum (but you could earn that with a 40 hr/wk minimum wage job).

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
