That's some good irrational spin factor there. You put words in my mouth worse than a religious zealot or feminist. Let me repeat my first comment, but more succinctly in case you missed it: Talking about violence against women, is not the equivalent of saying there is no violence against men.

Yet that's entirely untrue. It doesn't compare them at all, or even try to imply anything. I wrote what I did specifically because of the assumptions I knew people like yourself would make. Violence exists against men, regardless of the equality of it, this video has nothing to say about it. If we want men's rights to be a respectable community, we can't jump on stupid shit like this. Save your breath for something real.

Why is this in MensRights? There's not even the implication of inequality, persecution, prejudice, or stereotypes in this message. It's a straight line PSA that stands up for victims of abuse. In this case, those victims are women. You could argue that there is no attention to the fact that men are the victims of abuse as well, but that again has nothing to do with why you'd post this video here. I don't have a crazy religious family - but when I swore as a kid (at least pushed it past what was reasonable) I got a mouth full of soap. Honestly, made me want to swear less... Despite that this woman looks bat shit insane, and while I can say there are better ways to discipline your kids than feeding them hot sauce/soap, I don't think my mother was some terrible human being for putting me in my place when I was being a little fucker.

Try being a male in computer science. The women in our industry get every goddamn bursary and grant on earth regardless of talent just because there's none of them. Where are the grants and scholarships to draw men into being educators and care workers where they are a minority? If they exist, they are certainly not as prevalent as they are in the sciences for women.

I for one say: who gives a shit? Decide for your child. If I had my kid circumsized and he bitched about it 18 years later, I'd tell him to shut the hell up if he still wants me to pay for his college. I think it's a complete non issue. A mountain out of a mole hill if you will. Everyone has a different opinion, but they are all just that - opinions. I don't think there's much of a true rational argument for one side that beats the other at this point.

I expect those things such as those as well - and I would argue they aren't any less valuable. Being a good cook definitely fits into the "win" category, while deep bonds with friends is more of a separate thing - off somewhere in integrity and personal fulfillment. I'd like to think I just expect many of those things for myself.. Pesky pride and all... Nothing worse than earning a respectable wage, accomplishing goals, leading an active healthy lifestyle, knowing how to take care of your home and life, and try to have a sexually fulfilling lifestyle. All unreasonable things to try and attain.. Sure, we get the short end of the stick in this world - there's never been a worse time to be a non minority male essentially - but this list is just silly.
