Companies will still charge for data, but they will also charge for texts, and it is quite plausible to me that an app could make it cheaper to text with the app than with standard texting plans.

free app means not paying for texting, presumably.

Sociology, philosophy, psychology, politics, law, and economics journals are good places to start. Cover things like how people are perceived differently according to gender, do meta-studies, publish anything you feel like in philosophy, things like that.

And that promotes what? It helps accomplish actual goals how to read this? The fact that it happened is nice, but what is the point of posting it?

Alright, thank you. Point conceded entirely.

This one I am downvoting for sheer lack of reddiquette. "Absolutely right." Could someone enlighten me as to what this adds to the conversation? Because it looks to me like this is either karma or attention whoring, not something designed to provoke thoughtful discussion.

There are a lot of crazy people out there. Not only crazy, but malicious too. Enough to stereotype the group. Saying bad things about women doesn't promote equality! Yes, women are treated as inherently better people in society. But posting bad things about women in r/mensrights isn't going to solve the problem. If r/mensrights wants to help address some things that are important, like presumption of guilt or decreased standards of evidence, that is one thing. But when the subreddit spends so mu…

1 Aumanns agreement theorem, a desire to "agree to disagree" tends to indicate you are wrong. 2 I completely understand why you did it anyway, and think you are completely justified.

But it still is pointless denigration as opposed to anything constructive.

In all fairness, there aren't many heroes in the Game of Thrones. Or in any of the sequels. The Starks kind of count, maybe, mostly. Furthermore, I think a legitimate point is being made that you aren't fully addressing. I think that women are generally treated with a partial halo effect. I don't have the best of studies off the top of my head, as research on the subject tends to be just a little bit biased, but a secondary source that mentions a correlation does, to me at least, indicate a diff…

So your statement is that being male would lend weight to Functors arguments, and that "men make up there minds according to sound reasoning." Personally, I also try to make up my grammar according to sound reasoning. On a second note, you have now flipped into full blown misogyny. Congratulations, you have attacked all women, praised all men, and avoided using a scrap of evidence to do so. Please, get off this reddit. If there is ever to be serious progress towards goals like protecting the rig…

I truly wish I could say that I am a feminist. What I can proudly say is that I am an egalitarian. That means that when men are being discriminated against, I am for mens' rights. When women are being discriminated against, I am for womens' rights. My problem with feminism as it seems today is that it all to often seems to be "Women are better and so should get more and women are weaker and so should get more" with a willful disregard to the facts. If one defines femnism to be Egalatarianism onl…
