I play online poker on the side. I don't know if I'd recommend it as it's long antisocial hours and has extreme ups and downs financially. But I can eek out a decent win rate after all is said and done. I have played for c. 12 years though. The ground work to learn from scratch and risk involved would prob be too high for the average guy.
