I think that you are right to a certain degree about the comparison, but it is not nonsensical. I don't think that when women compared their period pain to having a heart attack they meant that it is completely painless. And obviously there is no objective scale of pain, but this is a common comparison that is used to raise awareness for the severity of period pains for some women, as most people wouldn't dismiss the feeling of having a heart attack as something to deal with and go on with your …

For some women, their period can be debilitating, for example, for women with endometriosis. We're not just talking about aches, we're talking about not being able to leave the house.
