He had two Republican Cabinets members. Robert Gates was his Secretary of Defense for the first couple years, and Ray LaHood was his Secretary of Transportation for his first term. Gates was originally appointed by Bush, but LaHood was brought in by Obama.

Maintaining quality on wikipedia, like being a subreddit moderator, is a tiresome and thankless job.

Obviously there should be a source, but you're supposed to use third party sources, not link to the subjects themselves. I was not aware that Wikipedia policy says that sources aren't required for things like that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Verifiability#Responsibility_for_providing_citations seems to indicate that anything without a reliable source can be removed. Where does it say that facts like these don't require a souce?

Acceptance of polyamory doesn't mean monogamous people should be forced into polyamorous relationships, it just means we should respect that some people are into that. It's just like gay rights, or even acceptance of interracial relationships. Just because it should be legally and socially acceptable for people to date outside their race, doesn't mean anybody should be expected to date outside their race.

Depending on how you count private and vocational schools, there are ~26,000 high schools in the country, so there are 26,000 high school valedictorians per year. This year there were ~22,000 people admitted to one of the Ivy League schools, and that double (or triple, etc) counts those who were admitted to more than one. Pretty sure 22,000 is less than 26,000.

Yes, my school is on the list. However, if I wanted to describe my university, "accredited" isn't the description I would go for. Instead, I would mention that my university is top X in the world. If your school has a very large value of X, you might instead mention the ranking for just your department or major, mention that your specific program was top Y in the state/region, or perhaps find a sub-field that has a more impressive record. Why do you think only well-connected people can go to ivy league schools? Sure, legacy admits had a pretty big advantage compared to others, but the majority of ivy league admits are just normal students from unconnected families who had exceptionally good grades and extracurriculars. I know some of them personally.

I'm sorry that you're so insecure about yourself because you couldn't get into a good university, but making fun of things just because you can't have them is a really childish reaction. Ivy league graduates in the humanities still have great job prospects and their starting/mid-career pay is higher than STEM graduates from lower tier schools. We're not talking about communications majors from random state colleges.

She has a degree from Brown. Ivy league admits are rarer than valedictorians, so she's quite possibly smarter than Hermione. (With the obvious caveat that college admissions officers aren't perfect judges of intelligence and Hermione is a fictional character. Emma's gotta be in the same ballpark though.)
