I personally dont subscribe to the idea that 'texts should only set up a date/escalate/whatever' I just like to talk to them about whatever, it makes it easier to make inside jokes, and (like in your case) schedules rarely line up for people our age, and so we end up in positions where the fire could fizzle out, but I do have a tendency to respond to texts immediately/overtext. I addressed this by changing up how I respond. Now when I get a message I'll write a response almost right away, but th…

If you haven't yet check out the ultimate cut of BvS, its at least a competent, if not entirely well done, movie. Accept that it takes the DC universe with A LOT of artistic liberties and you'll still enjoy it.

If you feel like you need to keep the woman you want to marry in check 24/7 you have a problem.

it really does. Think about it, if she were a man how do you think people would react to all the shit she's done.

Whoa whoa, I think women are perfectly able to negotiate, its just not how they have been brought up.

Can anyone provide a good link refuting this. Having a discussion with the sis an I made the point that anytime there is a flood of labor wages go down, she disagrees.

Was watch PBS newshour and they kind of touched on this. One of the pundits was saying the "wage gap" issues was kind of falling to the side now that "income inequality" is more of the focus. Makes sense.

When comparing total income, women earn less than men, but only because women trend towards careers that overall pay less than careers that men trend towards. Same reason why men experience far more workplace deaths, its simply because more men work in those industries. Adjust for career the gap shrinks to around 5%. Fixing the "death gap" would be a dark ass April fools joke from /r/MensRights wouldn't it?????

Confidence, some one comfortable in their own skin and more confident in who they are and what they want. Not afraid of confrontation. Physical attraction is kind of a given, never really gone for one specific type, if I see what I like and am in the right frame of mind I'll go for it.

Hahaha well. I guess I found the bar thread where we meet. Just the other day my gf of little over a month broke up with me. I felt she was upset and I asked her if she was ok and she lied to me and said things were fine. Prolly the only wrong she did. I said too many things I shouldn't have, and I got way too complacent too quickly. Not exactly sure what to tell you, I'm not in the best frame of mind to give you advice. All I know is we fuck up, it's natural. When you find the person who knows …

I still can't wrap my mind around this necessity that whatever "ism" has to be systemic to qualify. I've had this discussion before with my sister and she uses this reasoning (things like "misandry isn't a word").

and you get to check out there ass while they're climbing. More seriously, if the gym is set up so one climbs while the other is on the ground holding the rope, its fun to mess around a bit while they come down, like stopping a few inches before their feet touch the ground.

I usually try and question them about something. If they came from out of state why? Why they are at school studying what. It's been pretty hit or miss so far

You're never going to do it via text, not unless you've already bedded her once or twice, or she's a slut. Get together on a date, something fun, something with kino, get back to yours/hers. sit and talk, make eye contact, more kino, makeout. If makeout lasts long enough/physical contact escalates, I always like the line "So are we just gonna stay out here(couch or wherever you're making out) or are you going to take me to bed?" something along those lines

if you want to do this sleep with one woman then you need to stop thinking this AoM is indeed all about the things I cannot realistically do an age when most men have their post-graduate degree, an ex-wife, 10 ex-girlfriends, an income at least at the 50k mark As I said before, if you want to sit here with this woe-is-me attitude and tell me that you can't take 15minutes out of your day and learn something about cholestorol, or Norse mythology, or how to start a fire in the rain then I can't fuc…

Drawing is a fantastic one!! Focus on accomplishments that you're good at!! there are kindergartners who can draw better than I can, so I'm obviously not going to base my accomplishments around skills that I don't have. Accomplishments are only as small as you make them. Honestly, i would put a lot of value on your accomplishments, or at least I wouldn't be worried about what women thought of your accomplishments. What you should be valuing is what you learned from those accomplishments, how tho…

I have to disagree with 5. Your goal should be having a damn good time, and getting to know the person. Achieving these two will almost always lead to fucking, if not that at least a second date. Whereas just shooting for the lay may work but it may be a one time deal, or she's not into someone who just wants to spend a few hours talking so they can go back to your bunk and fuck. Everything else is good though, I agree.

Dude I'm in almost the exact same position!! Here's what I have been doing to deal with these feelings Write a response to her text as soon as you get it BUT DON'T SEND IT. I feel like this works for me because I always want to reply instantly, I want to have a conversation, know what she's doing, I like being spoken to (even if its just through texts). But constant instant replies can become obnoxious. So by writing something out the moment I get it, it satisfies my need to "respond" as soon as…

How do you know what time it is if you don't have a watch? You ask. Now simply asking a girl what "our situation is" can be awkward if not put in the right context. But there's clues you can pick up on (just like telling time). Is it bright and bluish outside? Probably morning. Does she smile at me when we make eye contact or smile at her? Probably in a good spot. You just need to stick yourself out there to figure it out. Reach out for her hand, hug her for longer than usual.

Mediocre intellect Youtube. Yes there are bllions of stupid pointless videos to numb your brain with. But there are also fantastic sources of information out there. CGP Grey, Numberphile, Computerphile, CrashCourse, Vsauce, Vihart, SmarterEveryDay, ExtraCredits This is but a small sampling from my personal subscriptions. They won't grant you a PhD in a topic, but its a great jumping off point/general knowledge. There are tons of good shows out there that are educational AND entertaining (Last We…

Well said. Kinda goes along with "admitting you have a problem is the first step to solving it" As soon as you can quantify what you're lacking you can start working towards improving that aspect of yourself.

It's really up to you, and a bit of a gamble. Some women love it, and they will go out of their way to make this time be as easy and enjoyable as possible. Others won't, and it may kill the mood you've been building. But I personally would always err on the side of honesty.

assuming I'm just a rando girl who knows what I'm like Hard to say. attraction like that is innate. But knowing who I am, probably not. Sure I've got decent looks and personality, but I don't feel like I have a whole lot of depth, boring at times.

Movies should be like third dates at one of your places, maybe after you've cooked dinner for her, then you get all snuggly and start making out. Don't watch a movie on your first.

its hard to describe i know, and i don't know if any visual aids Imagine like how you might tickle a baby's chin, or fire a double trigger on a paintball gun, doesn't need to be as quick as this. This is really step by step, I can't explain it more clearly, maybe without using 'walk'. you're going to start at their wrist and very very very lightly rub your finger tips, all the while moving very slowly up there arm towards the crease. Try it on yourself, it kinda works!

here's my favourite, great at building tension. ask for her hand, and turn it palm up, put your fingers in the crease of her elbow and tell her to tell you when she feels your finger in that spot. get her to look you in the eyes while doing the next part (no cheating!! good tease), hold her wrist, and with the other hand use two fingers to slowly, I mean super fucking slowly. 'walk' your fingers up her arm, you should be walking in place a few times, it should take you about a minute maybe (idk …

Man, weird to think it goes both ways /s But seriously, enjoy yourself, you seem pretty impressed by this guy already. Remember, he's probably as nervous about this as you are. Ice skating? You so gotta go for the awkward 'Slide fall into his arms' guys dig chicks falling for them ;) Seriously girl, relax, this guy probably has his shit sorted out, best thing you can do is be you and be as open to whatever extent feels comfortable to you, physically and emotionally. And say worst comes to worst …

agreed, focus on the person. If the chemistry wasn't right, I'd definitely feel awkward around her, but if we met and started talking and connected then I wouldn't notice anything holding me back.

You can always be a lot more subtle. You can do something, like buy a drink, hold a door open, offer a light. When she says thanks, just slip something in playfully like "Anything for a beautiful woman..." then continue on the conversation.

Watch a movie on the couch/bedroom. Play it cool, see what she does, her body language is important, if she's clearly sitting away from you then you're probably just a friend. Inch a little closer every 10 min or so, if she does too, and doesn't close the gap, just grab her hand, and say something like "I'm tired of this game, I'm just going to end it." Usually gets a laugh out of them.
