I have a guy friend with whom I have a similar relationship with (minus the crush, neither of us fancied the other) and their friendship sounds a lot like ours. If that's the case, you don't have to fear it. You don't want a guy who can't see women as friends and people with good qualities of their own besides their vagina. Honestly, I would rather be a "forever girlfriend" in a good relationship than be stuck with legal means in a bad relationship. I don't believe you should treat your husband/wife any different than your boyfriend/girlfriend (talking about officiality and knowing them well already, not in the beginning stages), so by this marriage is just a legal paper that makes leaving more difficult if the relationship turns abusive.
