Brilliant! This legislation has no chance of remaining as part of their statute and every time some feminist tries to lobby for some potty legislation we can all point to this!

This is the second time in as many days in which I have read news reports of women calling the police only for their partners to be exonerated by their own cell phone footage. Is it time for anyone who is sticking it in crazy to wear a headcam type recorder, well not headcam, but some kind of pinhole lense attached to a recording device? Is there such a product out there? Is there anyone technically minded that might be able to develop an attachment to a smart phone, say a bluetooth camera attac…

Once again, all the activists out there must take a bow. Another MSM article that at least tries to introduce some balance rather than accept the feminist narrative wholesale. Well done to all of you out there. Give yourselves a well deserved pat on the back.

Ok, the idea that the medics in my family have taken some kind of oath is a myth. :-)

Sorry. Perhaps I'm misinformed about the States, I was simply told this by my mother who was a GP and by father who was a surgeon. Perhaps it's different in the UK.

Is that the same system that, for the same crime, arrests women less, charges them less often, convicts them less often and then hands out lesser sentences than those handed down to men?

She also appealed for donations whilst incorrectly claiming that her report had been dismissed out of hand. If the tweets can be shown to have been fabricated by her she now also leaves herself open to charges of either perverting the course of justice or wasting police time.

Just as it takes more than a single crack for the dam to break, each article such as this whether on IPV, rape hysteria, reproductive rights, alimony reform, etc, etc each raise the volume of the cognitive dissonance in the minds of those who have internalised the feminist narrative by default rather than as an idealogue. Once that cognitive dissonance reaches a certain level an epiphany occurs. For that to happen the sources of information that build the dissonance need to be trusted. Time is s…

They did us the great service of encouraging an examination of gender roles. Their analysis of those gender roles is demonstrably false, but it is unlikely that we would have been so aware of male disposability as a social construct had feminists not come up with a narrative that made us stop and think.

It seems to me that SFPD are trying to shield AS from the fallout from this given that they have done a complete about face about the existence of a report from her. It stretches credulity that the SFPD made sufficient enquiries to establish that a report had been made in March but that they found no record of a complaint having been referred to the FBI during those enquiries. Either they don't want to get sucked into a viral shitstorm for failing to stand behind a celebrity victim, or they are …

Hmmm, that's convenient. The original recording with the PR representative of SFPD made it clear that she had asked around to establish whether such a report existed and proved this by making reference to an earlier report.

Wow, just wow. A sanguine, reasoned and balanced article debunking the rape hysteria statistics in a publication as august as Time magazine. Everyone from Paul Elam, Karen Straughan and all those at AVFM, down to those of us who perform the light lifting of raising awareness on places like reddit and in comments sections below feminist hysteria articles should take the opportunity to take a bow and feel a little pride in having started to move the conversation about rape to a more sane plateau. …

sigh You do realise that we're all giving her the oxygen of publicity too don't you? If I had a communications degree like Anita, I would be trying to whip up support for #IgnoreAnita. The only thing that will hurt, anger and undermine this woman is ignoring her, completely. Even the SJWs get bored of agreeing with each other in an echo chamber eventually. Every time someone posts a YouTube video, blog or tweet about this insufferable woman, whether abusive or not, it just feeds the SJW piranhas…

Southern Baptist extremists might scream on street corners about homosexuals, but the self effacing and mild mannered vicar at my local church still believes that homosexuality is a sin, that God exists, that good people put money on the collection plate and that atheists won't get to heaven. It's much, much easier to dismantle the position of the Baptist because his extremism makes it socially acceptable, despite the fact that the power to exclude homosexuals from the community really lies in t…

How do you distinguish between a feminist and a radfem? It's rather like trying to distinguish between an extremist Christian and a moderate Christian. Certainly the extremist is more vocal and exposing the failure of his belief system is easier, but he shares certain core beliefs with the moderate, the belief in original sin, vicarious redemption, the existence of an afterlife, etc, etc. The moderate sounding feminist is in many ways the more dangerous type. She still believes in the patriarchy…

Yeah, we've all spent hours sword fighting that sun beam. The problem isn't radfems, it is mainstream activist feminists. The radfems are fish in a barrel. The problem is that at the core of feminism, whether it be radical or mainstream, is the idea that women are oppressed victims, and that it is men as a collective who are oppressing them as a privileged class. This has become such a cultural hegemony, that to query it in even the most sanguine terms gets the same response as an atheist challe…

The men's rights movement has been around since the 1920s and predates the second wave of feminism. That said, the preposterous claims, dishonest statistics and downright lying demonisation of men that has characterised the third wave of feminism has coincided with the democratization of ideas with the internet. As a result many men are making a choice. To be white knights in the hope of receiving validation from the women in their lives who have typically internalised the infatilising narrative…

Hardly, it is an appeal for the perpetuation of male disposability and men only being valued in terms of what they provide women. Same as it ever was. You lead a chivalrous life if you want to, but leave me out of it.
/r/MensRights14/09/14 03:21 PM

Quite. Feminists opened the Pandora's box of examining gender roles and they wanted to be able to relinquish their duty of reciprocity for what men provide them, well, I guess now some women have recognised that they should have been careful what they wished for and are now back pedalling like Lance Armstrong racing backwards up a mountain. Too late. Elvis has left the building.

Would you like to join my atheist militia? We meet every Tuesday for tea and cake, that in a mysterious and very real sense both represent and actually are the flesh and blood of unbaptised babies. Every third weekend we meet to force Catholics into homosexual marriages. Every decade or so we have a field trip to conduct some genocide, but we keep the details of these outings quiet since our outings to Bosnia and Rwanda were hijacked by Orthodox Christians and Catholics. All members of the milit…

OP, my journey was similar to yours, but rather than feminists trying to impose their BS on video games, it was their attempt to impose it onto the online atheist community. Ironically, it was the legitimate claim that the Abrahamic faiths were mysoginistic that was one of the points that sparked my interest in the truth or otherwise of theism. Pure conjecture as far as I can tell. Looks like they pull it out of their ass as they go along. Women needed to be farmer making machines to produce as many babies as possible whilst simultaneously valuing virginity. Yeah, right, makes perfect sense.

Fair enough. When I met her I had no idea of the true nature of the feminist movement.
/r/MensRights25/08/14 03:52 PM

Ten years into a relationship there are more important, well other, things to think about than sex. If I were to criticise both the MRM and feminism in the same breath it would be that both movements fail to give sufficient focus to the teamwork and companionship of a relationship.
/r/MensRights25/08/14 03:33 PM
1

And finding a non threatening narrative for her to read is about finding a way to build her trust in this movement given that her exposure, such as it is, to feminism has made the starting point one of a defecit of trust in the movement. The benefit of the doubt is not available. It's actually quite interesting how effective even the mildest of exposure to feminism is at demonising the MRM.
/r/MensRights25/08/14 03:31 PM

Thanks, but I think I'll wait a little while until I lay the threat narrative exposure on her. Baby steps. :-)

Thanks much for those, just the sort of thing I was looking for. I have no intention of breaking up with her. She isn't stupid, once the blinkers of the MRMs demonisation have been taken off I'm sure she'll be on board. She was Catholic when I met her and she's made the journey to free thinker whilst we've been together.
/r/MensRights25/08/14 03:25 PM

She seems to be coming around to this, but its going to be a while before she stops seeing feminism as sugar and spice and all things nice whilst the MRM is made of slugs and snails and puppy dog tails! :-)

Working on that. Just tried explaining that and she says that the problem isn't men's rights, and she used custody rights as an example, but the vitriol she sees towards feminism in the videos I watch. Can't seem to get her to see the impact the feminist movement has on men's rights. Still, baby steps. :-)

Thanks, that'll help. It's a shame that every time I put on something MRM related on Youtube it's usually when someone is off on some kind of rant. I think it would be easier being caught watching German porn! :-)

Hey I like her, and I don't know that if you've noticed, but if you are looking for a woman that hasn't taken feminism at face value you are severely restricting the pool of women to insert your penis into.

Thanks, I'll give those a read and see if they might at least persuade her that the movement isn't about boiling kittens.
/r/MensRights25/08/14 08:42 AM

Thanks, but she is so stuck in the mindset that feminism is a movement for equality and kittens I was hoping to find something that doesn't reference feminism at all. I want to be able to give her something that makes the positive case for men's issues without setting itself in direct opposition to the wrong headed ideology that she has already bought into. We both know that what feminists claim feminism is about and what it is are totally different things but if an article criticises feminism i…

MRAs seek equality of the sexes in rights, responsibilities and duties. Feminists seek to maintain the benefits of ancient patriarchal chivalry, whilst throwing off the traditional reciprocal duties. This is not equality no matter how they like to dress up the philosophy with egalitarian language.

/r/MensRights16/08/14 07:24 PM

Have you noticed that all the public conveniences have been closed over the last ten years? I don't know if this is a result of moral panic over homosexuals using them, or whether it is a budgetary thing. Either way it isn't really a gender thing as they've been closed for both sexes.
/r/MensRights16/08/14 10:12 AM

Just as a point of comparison, when I was in Vietnam it was quite normal to see a guy just turn to the wall whenever he needed to go to release himself in public. No one batted an eyelid. It certainly wasn't seen as a sexual thing.
/r/MensRights16/08/14 10:08 AM

/r/MensRights16/08/14 08:47 AM

So just to be clear, this guy is threatened with blackmail, he makes a complaint and they arrest.......the Victim? What would have happened if he had called her bluff? If he had paid would that have been taken as evidence of guilt? Let this be a lesson to us all though, in similar circumstances we would be fucked unless we get to the police first.

The balls of this paper. They run article after article demonising men, dismantling their 'safe spaces' to the point where the only places a guy can vent with his mates are those where they're naked (like the gym locker room) and demanding that he censor every word that comes out of his mouth, and then they have the chutzpah to opine about men feeling isolated. Arseholes.

Campaigning for it rather pulls the rug from beneath their narrative.
/r/MensRights15/08/14 09:31 PM

Why not? The ERA is pretty vanilla and it explicitly lays out that no law shall discriminate on the basis of sex. The 14th does not say that. It explicitly says that privileges shall not be abridged. Therefore if one sex is legally privileged over another by law or tradition, it may not be abridged. The exemption from the draft for example.
/r/MensRights15/08/14 08:27 PM
2

My understanding was that feminists supported it until it was made explicit to them that it would involve the being subject to the draft.
/r/MensRights15/08/14 05:22 PM

It would be most detrimental to whichever sex currently enjoys the most privilege. That is why the resistance to it from the feminist camp is so instructive.

/r/MensRights15/08/14 10:34 AM

I quite agree, but I always thought that these feminists, and women in general, actually believed that they were oppressed and discriminated against, whilst also believing that MRA claims were dishonest. I was always prepared to believe that most feminists were fools rather than knaves, but this response by them to the ERA demonstrates quite unequivocally that they know their claims are generally false. It is only now that I'm starting to recognise quite how dishonest they are being in their act…

Not from other women, but images of other women. Do you really not see the narcissism in your post above?
/r/MensRights12/08/14 09:07 AM

You misunderstand the condition. Narcissists can be extremely self critical, especially when the reality that other peoples lives don't revolve around them is made explicit to them. Rather than recognise that it's the way human relationships really are, they, of course, see themselves as the cause. They can't imagine anything not being all about them. You know, like your inability to accept that your boyfriend finds anyone other than you sexually arousing. To restore their sense of self worth, h…

You are indeed seeking to manipulate and control him because you find it unnacceptable that you are not the only, the only, person that he finds sexually arousing. You know, like a narcissist.

I'm going to try really hard not to put this in a way that appears rude, but I'm going to have to use a term that you might not like. Please understand that it is intended to try and get you to stop and think, not upset you. You are a narcissist. There are people here that are wondering why you have low self esteem, when that is the exact opposite of your problem. You have convinced yourself that just because you are you, you are entitled to be the sole object of your boyfriend's biological urge…

As I understand it there is an active feminist campaign to insert feminism into as much of Wikipedia as possible. Perhaps someone closer to the movement can confirm or deny. If that is the case it's hardly surprising that the MRA page would be one of their first ports of call.

I found with two accounts that within a week of posting comments critical of the group think I was placed on pre moderation, whereby every comment has to be couched in terms acceptable to the moderator. The original article made an assertion based upon the extrapolation of the tublr feminist survey that there were 10,000 instances of groping, sexual assault and rape at Comic-con. This has been edited out. The general tone of fear mongering threat narrative remains. (At least at last reading, anyway.)

See the comments bellow the article where I link to all agency crime statistics for San Diego where it can be shown that the rape and aggravated assault stats for the month of July 2013 (comicon 2013 month) were lower than the average for the year ended July 2013. Were there a legitimate cause for concern the national convention with 130,000 attendees would have caused a spike in these stats for the month of the convention. You should also be aware that the original article has been edited to re…

Not only that, but the Howard League has already reported on rape in female prisons, the sabotage only arrives once it comes time to study male rape.

I am on 'pre moderation' for my comments because I used the word misandry beneath a feminist article. There is no free speech at that website and the community standards are so broad that any post can be deleted at will. I also suspect that the moderation is conducted by the author of the article being commented below.

A copy of my letter to the Observer: Dear Sir/Madam I wish to complain in the strongest possible terms about the comment piece published on your website under the by-line of Barbara Ellen on the 18th May 2014. Whilst she sprinkled her piece with caveats that to this reader appeared insincere, the thrust of her argument was that female domestic violence was a lesser offence to male domestic violence. This will provide validation to any woman conducting domestic violence against a male partner and…

Please don't flood her inbox with complaints. You know how that turns out. She will get one or two abusive emails and 98 polite but emphatic complaints. She will then go to her editor to complain about the hundreds of abusive emails she received, cloak herself in her victimhood pussypass, and then the issue ceases to be her disgusting views, the reputation of the paper or her confession of unprovoked assault. Don't give her the opportunity. Just send polite but emphatic complaints to her editor …

Wouldn't say that, but the term 'rape apologist' seems to fit perfectly.

That's not really what I'm suggesting, I'm just saying that our early sexual experiences can colour our sex lives for life.
/r/MensRights18/05/14 08:11 PM

I used to get boners in boriing classes, most teenagers do. We spend our teenage years in perpetual fear of the inapropriate erection, and the feminists say we can't have sex if we don't want to! Besides, it is well accepted that physiological responses, such as lubrication, are no indication of consent during female rape.

Hardly what she meant to do though was it? She didn't try to raise awareness of male rape or try to prick the myths that surround it so as to destigmatise it, she tried to justify it and reinforce the myths and stigma.

Who knows how it will affect his sexual development and sexual discovery with partners of his own age? Who knows how it will affect his future sexual experience or attitudes? Is he going to end up with a granny fetish?

The rape culture issue can be dealt with by replying with a single question; "Are rapists segregated in jail because men as a whole abhor rape, or because the prison population has taken feminist theory to their hearts?"

It is more insidious than that. Ever notice on the news that it's 'Three firefighters were killed today when....' 'Ten people were killed today, including three women, when yada, yada, yada.' 'The crew of a fishing trawler are missing, feared dead, after.....' 'Thirty miners were killed when a fire tore through the mine after.......' Men are never referred to as people, they are only the job they do. Even where their job is irrelevant to the story they are never men, only generic people whereas …
