We can do both. So I'll wait for a well done series that deals with men's suicide. I'm sure (said with some sarcasm) that this is in the works over at Apple. You're right, Hanna ends her life with a complex web of factors. It's a grey area.

It was good all the way till the last 30 seconds. It showed complex characters and consequences of rational decisions. The end was heavy handed though; it literally and figuratively put Mitch in the worst light possible. The show deals with female suicide. It shows how men make sexual choices that contribute to pushing women into dark mental states. It’s fundamentally feminist. But suicide is done by more men than women. It was a never ending bad joke. They would get free lunches for "women's days", trips to other cities for "women bonding" and training days on top of the normal training. You can send trainees to Sydney for a week of fun and one on one tutorship... but if someone isn't interested it just won't stick. So we would have groups of women who were interested in the freebies and not the hard work. I think it actually attracted less talented people than if nothing was done.

The movie “Gattaca” has a background character that is an old hand detective but because he doesn’t have the right DNA he is not the lead detective. In the end he quietly solves the murder. I worked at a government agency that would do programming with satellites and to try and reach our quotas for females we always had female managers head the projects. We could say whatever we wanted in meetings in terms of cost and time and possible solutions because our managers had no idea. They would nod and smile. Intersectionality is a major problem that Jordan Peterson brings up. Basically if you are a woman you deserve special treatment... but so do gay men. Who wins in the victim olympics? I've worked in a bar for years and spent a lot of time thinking about dating and romance. One of the worst things a man could do on a date is to pay as if they are paying for her time. Guys who pay for drinks and dinner are losers in the dating game. If men could see how much they are putting up barriers between them and their goals they would get angry at how misinformed they had been. I would add “institutionalism” as a sub category of “opportunism” . Some people make money writing for universities or get scholarships to do feminism. The office/ grant/ position is there and someone will take it. Jordan Peterson brings this up as a serious issue.

I was a few days away from plunging money into the NZ stock market. I was completing my research and had some worries about their Labour Party political movement. My concerns have spiked. Even the hint of such an insane idea has pushed me back. My money is going elsewhere until I see some better political choices.
