Hey Neil, Thanks for doing this. I've enjoyed your writing and particularly The Game, however I've been hesitant to actually dig in. There seems to be SO much material, and much of it references other material. Excluding your own The Rules of The Game, which I have, where would you recommend an absolute newbie start?

Maybe I read past it, but I didn't see him say he was looking to hook up, that night. Many of us are in the game, not just to get laid by someone we met, but to meet, and get attraction from, someone we like.

The tricky part you list here is "Long term". I've had FWB relationships, but except for ones which were really occasional (every few years) they weren't long term because after a while someone either becomes attached, or disgusted with them self, or wants to move to someone who can offer more. The only strong suggestion I have for you if you want to do this, is be very good at sex. Seriously, find out what they really like and do it better than they think they will find elsewhere.

You could get some practice and confidence by just opening damn near everyone you run into in daily life. Guys, girls, old people, parents with children. Just get into the habit of trying to say meet, and make a good impression on everyone you see and the thought of opening a set of attractive women just won't be so daunting, and you'll have had some practice.

You're getting downvoted but you're not far wrong. Maybe some (apparently plenty) of guys are fine with cuddling just for the sake of cuddling, but I would be confused and have to assume she is looking for some messing around. In the examples the OP posted it sounds like in one case she was and in one case she wasn't. I think getting into bed with a guy would is a very big sexual indicator of interest.
