That shit needs to stop today. Talk to management. Make them understand that they need to nip it in the bud now or the company will be receiving a call from your lawyer in a few days for creating a hostile work environment. Not to mention a possible sexual assault case. I don't allow talk like that around my crew, and neither should you.

Husband comes home. He calls out, "Honey! I'm home. I brought the paperwork you requested." She appears from the other room, bouncing excitedly like a little girl. He hands her the manilla envelope. She opens it, and starts to read. "These are...divorce papers?" she questions, not understanding what is about to happen. Her posture has changed, no longer the lovable little minx, but now, ever so subtly, it begins to morph into something... dangerous. The man sets down his briefcase on the kitchen…

Sharks are only predators in water and polar bears would die in hours in the mojave desert. I really this quote. Play to your strengths. Every man is strong in some aspect of life, and weak in others. If there must be a competition, better that its on your terms and not theirs. It feels really good to be able to dominate others in your field of expertise.

Good post. Since you bring up the measuring your shit thing, this is something I've been thinking a lot about lately. I want to setup a system where I can track everything in my life to see the effects over time. The question is, what should I measure? Do you, or anyone else, know what things I should track, to get as complete a view of my body and life as possible? My list so far: Body weight, exercises, food intake, daily stress levels, finances/spending... This probably deserves its own post.…

There's a really cool documentary about the rise and fall of he-man on netflix or YouTube. I think Barbie was threatened by the he-man franchise and feminists wormed their way into the franchise. He-man is strong, but he's not strong emough to fight off the feminist brigades.

Hey Cannaman, I was wondering what yugoslavia is called now, since you said former Yugoslavia. According to wikipedia it's been broken up into 5 different countries. One of which was Bosnia. i always wondered where Bosnia was. Now i know. Huh. Anyway, were you alive during the breakup? If so, how did they choose what country gets what? Was Yugoslavia a bunch of states that just separated into separate countries? Was a peaceful transition? I just realized there's so much I don't know about your p…

Interesting you mention Donald Trump. My Mom is as close to a unicorn as I've seen, but even she has her failings, so not really a unicorn. Yesterday we were talking about the state of the world we live in today, and how corrupt its become. She brought up Donald Trump, and how the president is such a good man, and people hate how he's trying to fix things. She's very conservative, and Trump resonates with her. I agree with pretty much all your other points as well. I've seen every single one of …

Years before I discovered MGTOW, I reached the conclusion that I am "looking for a woman that is WORTHY". For the most part, I really don't care about women or people in general. But for those few that I have in my life, they all share a common theme. They are all worthy of being my friend, and have proven their worth over time. If anybody asks why I'm single, I just state that I am looking for a worthy mate. That normally shuts them up because they don't know how to process that. If they press …

I'd agree with that. To illustrate your point, I'm 42. I've noticed that my humor gets more "intellectual" as I've gotten older. At work, I am a master of Dad jokes, and love to make puns and jokes that play on words. But i can be be very immature when it's situationally appropriate. Part of maturing and aging in general is no when something is appropriate or not... ...Something came up and lost my train of thought. I'll end it here and come back if i have time. I have a serious question(s) for you- you're gay right? Do you think you are gay because you were born that way? Or do you think maybe you were bi but were pushed over to gay side of things? Reason I ask, is because I have a nephew that recently came out as gay and then transgender about a year ago. His parents split up when he was a toddler and he was raised by his mother. And I wonder how much nature vs nurture applies in his case, because I don't remember him being gay growing up. But maybe t…

Cool thanks. I really like what i've seen about the new pixel phones. Sounds like we have different use cases after all. I pretty much use my phone for its gps and thats it, but every now and then I discover a new use i hadnt thought about before, which is super cool. I realize the following question is very much in the spirit of the thread, but...why did you spend $900 on a cell phone? The most I ever spent was for my current cell, a LG Stylo 2 for around $300. I don't understand why people spend so much on cell phones. Different use case maybe? Care to educate me? Thanks.

Ok. a bit about the teilaxu https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bene_Tleilax In short, for those that aren't aware, the Bene Tleilax or Tleilaxu, are from the book series Dune. I didn't catch your age. I'm guessing you're over the age of 18, but under the age of 24. In the USA, if you want to attend college and get financial aid, you need to provide your parent's financial information. The schools use this calculate your family's expected contribution. Unfortunately, this is aweapon that your mother could use against you. She could withhold her tax info, and effectively prevent you from affording college. Hell, she might even take out student loans but then demand you …

I get to drive a forklift and a CAT. Sidenote. I deliver pizza, and on one of my deliveries a month or so ago, I passed a house that had been going through a remodelling phase. I saw a dude on a small back hoe, tearing up his yard having the time of his life with that big ass machinery. There's something about machines that really taps into our primal side. Side Note: When the live action G.I. Joe movie was released five years or so ago, I stayed through the credits waiting for the PSA, but it never came. I was fucking pissed! Women wanting the grown male vs the infantile male... Makes sense when you think about the digust a lot of women have for hobbies that women consider juvenile, such as video games, anime or comic books. I like this theory a lot. I think you guys are really on to something here.

I often wonder at the age range of this sub. To me, it seems like most guys must be in their 20s or 30s, because most topics seem to resolve around getting laid. ExploitationDevice, your comment triggered a thought you might need to be aware of. If you're under 18 and considering college, you're going to need your parent's tax info to apply for financial aid, until the age of 24. Both of your parents. I couldn't get my dad's tax info, so I myself had to wait until 24. At 24, the government considers you "financially independent" from your parents. At that point, you can go to college and take out student loans without any input from from your parents. Wh…

When people ask why I don't have a girlfriend, I just tell them the truth, I haven't met anybody I like. Of course, I'm not really looking very hard either, but that's a different matter.

Over the past 20 years, I had two friends that died. Both times, I informed HR that I needed a few days off, and explained the reasons- a friend had died/was dying, and both times, when it came time to renew my contract, contract was not renewed. One discussion point that you may have missed, it what happens when you get old/injured/death? I'm 39, no kids, no wife, some debt, and very few assets. I'm actively working to improve my financial situation. But I've been wondering, what to do with my wealth when I get it. Chances are, I'll probably leave it to my nephews/nieces. Yeah, I was going to say all those things you are looking for can be found in a dog, except for sex. But you beat me to it. Even the commitment in a relationship can be found with a dog, because you gotta be home to feed the dog. Don't want the commitment, borrow a friend's dog. Except for the sex, that shouldn't be found found with a dog. Humans should mate with other humans, but hey, if it's two consenting adults of different species, who am I to judge? You have no purpose. That's the problem. You've grown past your old goals, and need a new challenge. Men needs challenges to overcome. You've already accomplished everything you've set out to do, now you're waiting for life to give you another one to overcome.

Sounds like you're starting to grow up. You've heard of the midlife cris? There's also a thing called the quarter life crises. Women are great, but they're not everything in life. You're starting to realiz that that your life has no meaning except for the the meaning that you give it. You only have one life. What are you going to do with it? Take some time to figure out what you want from life, devise a plan and get it. Otherwise the midlife crisis will hit you hard when you realize 20 years wen…

Stumbled upon this subreddit a few years ago, at ...37? A lot of this info is geared towards the younger crowd, in their early 20s, but also somewhat useful for us older folks. Never had a problem picking up chicks when I was younger. The problem when you get older, is finding a chick worth spending your time on. /humble brag.

Personally, I'm a big fan of wainting before you go to college. Unless you have a free ride, and/or tons of scholarships/grants, waiting to go to college is a good idea. You'll be older, more mature, and probably have a better idea what you want to study. At 24, you can take out more student loans if needed, and no longer have to provide your parents' tax info to the school. Education should help you accomplish your life goals. If you don't know what those are yet, take some time to figure it ou…

Drink, socially, in moderation. Don't get wasted, that's stupid for a million reasons. Know when to say when. If you can't do that, don't drink. Designated drivers are always popular. Personally I only partially agree with this, because I don't drink. Ever. At all. There is a reason that alcohol is called a social lubricant. Alcohol makes people stupid, and lose their inhibitions. Plus, depending on your specific reaction to it, can turn you into an asshole real quick. Not to mention the legal r…

I think OP did okay, but the five days of punishment for five days of disrespect wasn't the best idea. Too dramatic, almost biblical. And robs him of the solution to stop the "punishment" with the right timing when it would yield the best results. I disagree. OP changed the rules of their relationship with this interaction. Since this is the first time he's using this tactic, he needs to set clear boundaries, and needs to meet out 100% of the punishment as promised. In the future, he can relent …

I had a very similar experience about ten years back. I was driving with my mom and little sisters when all of a sudden the engine caught on fire. Smoke and flames erupted from the hood. I had a moment of zen. Time slowed down, and I analyzed the situation and even though I felt like panicking, chose to deal with situation in a rational manner. Pulled the car over immediately, got my mom and sisters to safety, and then calm walked back to the car, opened the trunk, and looked for something to ex…

Hmmm. I see your point about instinctual fears vs learned fears. I think it migjt be a mixture of both. A newborn infant doesn't have the mental capacity to be afraid of something kike a predator. It's only after further development that it begins to recognize friend vs foe. Their may be a latent fear that doesn't kick in until later in life, but the actual instinct for it doesn't kick in until later. Kind of like our sex drives. People have an instictual need to procreate. It can suppressed, bu…

Didn't read your wall of text, but some advice anyway. If you meet a girl, and she doesn't want to date, but she really wants to be friends, then she's keeping you as a backup boyfriend for later down the road. Chances are, you'll never be able to seal the deal because you'll end up being the "friend she can turn to" when all the assholes she does date treat her like crap. Keep her at a distance. If you want to date this girl, make sure she knows you want to DATE, not be friends. If she wants a …
