What I'm hearing is that men are more honest, so women are better able to make informed assessments of who they're getting into a relationship. And women are more dishonest, so men are more often mislead into disastrous relationships with them. And that rings true to my experiences. The misleading title does not ring true to my experiences. I have typically found women to be much poorer judges of character, in general, than men.

I see numbers, but I don't see a source.

No, because that's not the number we care to look at. What we care to look at is the difference in the ratio of mens-to-women's pay for both full and part-time workers. The difference in overall income of part-time and full-time workers has exactly zero to do with this discussion. Nice try to distract from the fact that the difference is negligible. Or maybe you just don't understand the math we're actually considering. I'm not the one challenging that including part-time pay would change things…
/r/MensRights06/03/20 09:40 AM

It's still not that significant because there isn't likely to be a huge difference in the pay rate for part time workers. It's probably going to be pretty close to 50%;50% there too, and that single-digit-percentage addition to the numbers isn't going to sway the original figure by more than 1 or 2%, I guarantee it. Probably less than 1%. Try the math and see if I'm wrong.
/r/MensRights06/03/20 05:44 AM
1

But the different in full time workers is only 7M people, out of more than 250M people. That's barely statistically significant. Do the numbers for us, if you think it's such a big deal. How would the stats change if part-time workers were included?

I read your article, and I have no idea how you actually disagree with OP, or if you even disagree. Your article seems to convey a similar overall sentiment, that there are legitimate reasons for the alleged pay gap, and that any pay gap is actually against men rather than women.

And men generally worked more dangerous jobs, which means we are the ones being underpaid for our work.

Yup. I grew up raised by women, with no good male role models, so I practically revered women, and definitely had a lower opinion of men, myself included, than of women. Took me a long time after I got out into the world, before I realized how lopsided my education on the subject of men and women had been. Even still, it took a lot of digging through information to even begin to view women with the same kind of scrutiny that I viewed men. But now I've seen it through, and I'm not only against fe…

It's effectively accurate, even is it's not accurate to the exact letter of the law. It's quite obvious that the intent was, and that the effect is and will be, to stop nearly all single men from adopting girls. Because most fathers will not have to try to adopt their own daughters, and the special circumstances are probably that literally no one else will adopt the child, which isn't that common. You know it, I know it, so why are we debating it.
/r/MensRights06/02/20 08:00 PM
1

Restrictions are an undeserved imposition on someone's life, unless there is a compelling argument for enacting them. .Neither laws nor codes and statutes should be enacted arbitrarily, capriciously, or discriminatorily. It stands to reason that the "special circumstances" are also very rare. I doubt very much that either stipulation helps most of the single men who might like to be fathers.
/r/MensRights06/02/20 07:30 AM

It does except in the case of biological fathers, which would be pretty rare, for a father to have to be adopting his own daughter.

My own personal feelings agree with it as well. I don't perceive successful women to be intimidating. I mostly don't perceive them at all, because they don't hang out in places that I frequent, so there's a reclusiveness to successful women. And I also find that women don't seem to want to "date down," as it were. Women look for men who are more successful than they are, so there's a dismissive attitude from some successful women, as with some successful people in general. Although I don't think…

I don't think we could ever force people to do that, or that we should. But I do think it would be wise for people to agree amongst themselves to do that, for their own and each other's mutual safety. It's something I discuss with anyone I'm with.

No, you just made my point for me further. That we only have evidence of children's social interactions with anything we might deem "beautiful" or "aesthetically appealing" once we have interacted and communicated with them in some way, and therefore had formative impact on them through our interactions and study, is only further support of the point I'm making. It's not shifting the goalposts to point out that an Observer Effect exists, and that it limits the efficacy of our experimentation in …

I witness this in the restaurant industry to extreme degrees, and it angers me to see people being financially oppressed because of the face they were born with. I've worked every job in a restaurant for over fifteen years. When I applied for the cooking job I have now, I was asked somewhat cheekily but also seriously, why I wouldn't want to work out front, since I look decent enough and have all my teeth, because I could make way more money. They've grown accustomed to there being no consequences, or vastly reduced consequences, for being violent to men. We've reversed the natural order. Part of me feels like this injustice is necessary for a time, so that men can experience some small fraction of what women have always experienced - basically getting bullied, and being powerless to stop it. But part of me worries that men will not accept that lesson graciously and use it to put themselves in women's shoes so that we can go forward …

I like that you added your own interpretation of the conclusion, because this data could be interpreted a lot of ways, and I'm concerned it will be interpreted to plainly say that men dislike women with higher status. But I think there are multiple other possible explanations for it; yours being one of them. That was my first thought as well; that higher status comes with the perception of unreachability, and that might be what's working against them, not that men dislike the power they have.
/r/BlackPillScience03/01/20 09:51 PM

You can take out the "high status" and this would still be true. Which... sounds horrible. But seriously.... what do women do for men other than provide aesthetic and sexual gratification, and bear children? Are women paying men's bills? Are women building the structures of society that we all live in and use for business? The roads and bridges we all travel on? Do women volunteer to do the difficult, dangerous jobs? Seriously, what's in it for us? From a strictly economical stand point, we pret…

Has science asked babies how they feel about men and women, before they could have possibly had any of society's standards rub off on them? Nope. Science can't even ask babies anything until some of society has rubbed off on them, and they have some basic ability to communicate, even unconsciously.
/r/MensRights03/01/20 09:39 PM

This is like saying that men bear no responsibility for female beauty standards, simply because other women tend to be more critical of a woman's looks than men do. Like, women care about other women's clothing, makeup, hair, etc. Men only care about visual appearance to the extent that a woman is attractive to him, but that often wont correlate to having nice clothing, hair, makeup, etc, and may correlate to other factors entirely. So women create most of the beauty standard for women, in that …

/r/MensRights28/12/19 02:34 AM
3

yes it does, if it helps undo the first one being done. It isn't just done, like oh well, we're stuck with circumcision forever now. Fuck that. It's being done. And it can be stopped. And this is a damned good protest to help stop it. So it's worth it. And those kids sure look like they want to be there to me, so as long as they're not being abused, you have zero rights concerning them attending a protest. Mind your business... or don't, because there's nothing you can do about it.
/r/MensRights22/12/19 06:38 AM
3

You said nothing in support of opposing circumcision, and only complained about protesting it. "In cases of clear oppression, to remain silent, is to side with the oppressor." And you remained silent about the issue of protesting circumcision, even though you came here to protest the issue of using kids in politics. So you revealed your priorities with your own comment, and remained silent about the atrocity of circumcision itself.
/r/MensRights22/12/19 03:31 AM
2

This is the most effective visual protest for it I've seen yet, so apparently we can't or won't do a very good job of it without involving kids. And who the hell are you to say kids can't be involved in protesting something that's done to them against their will? Even if they don't understand it, they can understand it was against their will. That's all they need to protest it. So get out of here with that crap. You aren't their parent, and these kids aren't being harmed. Circumcision is what do…

/r/MensRights22/12/19 12:31 AM

I think it's absolutely appropriate to have kids protesting the mutilation of children without their consent. Kids understand what it feels like to be forced without their consent. That's the norm for how kids are treated. They do what the adults in their lives tell, coerce, or force them to do. There's no one more appropriate to speak up about acting on children against their will than children, who are regularly acted on against their will. And none of these children look like they don't want …
/r/MensRights22/12/19 12:19 AM
1

If you have kids, then don't bring YOUR kids to a protest, if you think it's wrong. You don't get to tell other people what to do with their kids, you arrogant fuck. Unless they're doing something criminal to them, like mutilating their genitals. Then you should get off your ass and be involved in telling them to stop.
/r/MensRights22/12/19 12:17 AM
2

So kids can be mutilated, but they should not be involved in protesting their mutilation? Fuck you.
/r/MensRights22/12/19 12:16 AM

But you DO agree with it, and you aren't out there protesting it yourself, so shut up.
/r/MensRights22/12/19 12:15 AM

Are you suggesting it's worse to use kids for a political rally they don't understand than it is to mutilate kid's genitals to uphold and ancient and barbaric religious tradition that they don't understand?
/r/MensRights22/12/19 12:15 AM
2

But having her there makes the strongest point of all, and the abuse of circumcision outweighs the abuse of using a child for political purposes. So it's right that she's there.
/r/MensRights22/12/19 12:13 AM
1

Once society has taken on ourselves to cut up a child's penis, that child can be involved in anything he wants to, regarding genitals and sexuality. A circumcised child has been tortured and permanently damaged worse than any rape victim, and you wouldn't fucking DARE tell a rape victim that they had no business being at an anti-rape rally, no matter how old they were. So shut the fuck up.
/r/MensRights22/12/19 12:12 AM
6

Children don't understand circumcision either, but you've only got a problem with using kids to hold up signs they don't understand, and not with mutilating their bodies to hold up ancient religious traditions they don't understand?
/r/MensRights22/12/19 12:09 AM
2

Using children to uphold an ancient and barbaric religious ritual of mutilation is so much worse than using kids to hold up signs protesting it, that you are out of line for taking issue with the latter use of children and not the former. Fuck you.
/r/MensRights22/12/19 12:08 AM
3

So you're okay with parents deciding for their kids that they should have their genitals mutilated, but your not okay with the parents who decide for their kids that they should protest that practice?
/r/MensRights22/12/19 12:07 AM
4

So you'll defend kids from holding up signs, but not from having their genitals mutilated? How about leaving kids out of circumcision, and letting adults decide to get that operation, if they want to when they can understand and consent to it?
/r/MensRights22/12/19 12:06 AM
2

Who are you to decide for these kids that they don't understand and don't want to be there? It looks like they want to be there to me.
/r/MensRights22/12/19 12:05 AM
1

Is it more or less okay than cutting off pieces of children's genitals right after their born? Yeah, that's what I thought. Get your priorities straight. Exploiting kids to hold up anti-circumcision signs can stop when mutilating kids with circumcisions stops.

/r/MensRights22/12/19 12:01 AM
3

Cutting off the most sensitive part of kids' penises is far worse, and none of them understood why it was being done to them either. But you draw the line at using kids to hold signs, and you're okay with using kids' bodies to uphold an ancient and barbaric religious tradition? Get your priorities straight.

A woman just murdered her three infant sons because she thought they might grow up to be abusive. Don't talk to me about women being incapable of brutality. Most of our mothers in this country hack off pieces of their son's penises right after their born, without any compelling medical complication to excuse it. Few things are more brutal than child genital mutilation.

I'm a frequent supporter and speaker in this forum, but this heading is completely misleading. It is dishonest, and its dishonesty harms our cause. The study does NOT report that women are equally likely to commit rape as men. It concludes from a survey of 1054 youths aged 14 to 21, that 10 females and 39 males reported having attempted or completed rape. From age 15 and under, all participants reporting this were male. From age 16 to 17, 90% of participants reporting this were male. But from ag…

A lot of the same stuff that's scary about being a woman. Bigger men might still beat me up; and there's always a bigger man. If our very corrupt justice system lands me in prison, other men might rape me, and nothing will be done about it. How nice for you that the decision other people made for you, turned out to be the decision you preferred. Not everyone ends up feeling that way. Which is why, if you like the idea of circumcision, you should be free to get that procedure for yourself as an adult. First of all, 40% of reported domestic violence is against men, and there is an obvious societal bias against men reporting domestic abuse, and against it even being classified as domestic abuse, even if a man does report it. So that statistic is probably skewed. Secondly, I've been a victim too, both of domestic abuse and molestation as a child, by women, so I woke up to it fairly early in my life. And what you mentioned about only realizing it after the fact, becomes more and more true over ti…

As long as innocent women continue to get raped, I am regrettably okay with innocent men going to jail. Correct. The average rapist rapes multiple victims, so as much as what you're mentioning is unjust, it's also a taste of our own medicine, which has been getting doled out one-sidedly to women for far too long. Incredibly difficult in many rape situations. Who has a DNA testing kit at home to compel the other half of a DNA test by court order? Not me, if it happened to me. And asking the presence of mind of a recent rape victim to acquire necessary criminal evidence for prosecution after being traumatized is unrealistic at best; something else at worst. I get the sentiment here, and I think he means well, but I have to respectfully disagree. Cops are notoriously not doing their jobs lately, and there's a historic precedent of them being especially lax when it comes to the sexual assault and rape allegations of women. Well... assuming all men need to be taught not to rape is the same as assuming that no men are capable of arriving at that reasonable conclusion themselves. It's very similar to teaching all women not to murder their babies. There's an extensive history of US-Russian(USSR) conflict in Vietnam. Take a look at the [List of Proxy Wars on Wikipedia] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_proxy_wars). You'll see that there are several wars in Vietnam where the USSR is support for one side, and the US is support for the other side. The Korean and Vietnam wars were both critical Cold War proxy wars. The central issue of those wars was the success or failure of communism in Europe and Asia. Here are some other resources exp…

Obama was the one who drafted the immigration ban, and Trump walked right into the trap. Or welcomed it; one of the two. He either liked it or he didn't care that the travel ban was aimed at predominantly Muslim countries that aren't under our commercial control (no ban to places like Indonesia because they make lots of our cheap products to sell here). But Obama didn't do anything like that (he was still a horrible President that did some really tyrannical stuff, like EO 13603, and signing Citi…

I'm in the US. Infantry is outmoded; we have precision drones, and our military commanders don't care if they take 50 civilians along with their target. That's precise enough for them. They do run this country, and frankly the world, along with the massive corporate conglomerates. The debt doesn't matter either, because no one can collect on them, and they'll drag the entire world's economy down if anyone tries to tip their heavily-leveraged cart over. It's uncollectible debt. We weren't trying …

You think we should follow the example of countries with weaker militaries than ours? You are incorrect that social morality has no place in combat. It doesn't only matter that we win; it matters how we win. Trump got in because Hillary Clinton is a power-hungry elitist and her family is attempting to establish another dynasty of presidents in this country. And because there was a strong backlash from the many racist people in this country against having juts had a black President. They got out …

Obviously, the average male physique is more powerful and suited to combat than the average female physique, but a very important factor is being left out when deciding that an all male military will therefore be most effective. What happens to a society that engages in sexism? Disparities like that grow into civil unrest, and a country at war with itself is less able to defend itself than a country at peace with itself. An all male military might do better if all other things were equal. But al…

Well, when we start seeing a bunch of women actually taking us up on this offer, and doing the hard dangerous jobs that typically fall to men, then we won't make sarcastic remarks about the wage gap like this. There's a gap for a reason, and the reason is that most women wont do this kind of work.
/r/MensRights02/04/17 09:37 PM

Sometimes, but sometimes not. And that's the point some of us are trying to make to you: that there isn't a general rule that fits all situations. Each situation needs its own scrutiny to figure out a best course of action. Trying to say that people should never fight back physically, or that they should always fight back physically, or that they should always defer to an "authority" (whatever that means), or never defer to an "authority" - is a good way to oppress people.

It isn't always better to allow violence to go unpunished. Sometimes that encourages more violence. People are opportunistic. They'll get away with what other people let them get away with. And if it benefits them, they'll keep doing it until someone steps up and stops them. But religions and governments have sold people on deferential notions like that, to keep people happy with their station in life and prevent people from rising up against them. Like Napolean said : "Religion is what keeps th…

No, this is the way it's supposed to be. It's among the most fundamental natural laws that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Women have warped society to contravene that principle, and it's a very destructive trend.

More like they're trying to goad men into hitting them back so they can cry abuse and take as much of his property as the courts are willing to give her, which is usually a lot. They're not really interested in a fight - most women know they'd lose a fight against most men. But they also know that society has their back, and it doesn't have the man's back. So they instigate because they know they won't have to fight their own fight. Society will do their fighting for them. In short, women are no…

So when women celebrate being women, and talk about working towards women's rights, and they never mention men's rights.... that doesn't bug you? You're fine with people hyper-focusing on the rights of a sub-group of humanity and ignoring the rights of the rest? Because however feminism makes you feel, men's day makes women feel.
/r/MensRights23/11/16 12:41 AM

If we don't have to feel bad about who we are, then why do we need a holiday to celebrate who we are? I'm a man who treats people well, and therefore has no shame about being a man... and I think men's day is divisive. It probably makes women feel the same way it makes me feel when they have women's day. Left out.

Except we see the results of it, don't we. It's not just my speculation. People are nicer to each other on Christmas; they donate to needy people more around thanksgiving; and they feel justified in being very selfish on their birthdays (indignant, even, if they aren't allowed to be as selfish as they want to be). The proof is in the pudding. You can ignore it all you want, though, in order to fulfill your own narrative, because you're sure you're right.

Exaaaactly So you're celebration of men's day is a vindictive reaction to women celebrating women's day. Do you see what women having a day all about themselves did to you? It divided you from them. It made you resent their exclusivism because it made you feel unimportant. It does the same thing to me. And you having a men's day does the same thing to women. ehh, I can't say I relate to that idea. No one has a right to maintain places where most people are like them. It's discriminatory. Men have a far better idea of what it's like to be attacked, because, compared to how much men beat each other up, men beat women up extremely rarely. Just because the average man has an advantage in overpowering the average woman, does NOT mean he has any advantage against the rest of men. I think it's because the institution of marriage has become too expensive and too socially obligatory. The biggest part of why I never wanted to get married was because people seemed to be treating me like a failure for not being married, and I rebel against irrational social pressures like that. There have been other reasons as well, but that was probably the biggest counter-pressure for marriage to me. And from what I can gather from other men, it's similar for a lot of them too.

I don't hate some women. Yeah, that's fair to say. I don't hate some men too. It has nothing to do with what's between either of their legs, and only to do with what kind of person they are. I just don't find most women that I've known to be very pleasant or useful people.

You're deluding yourself into thinking you have an objective point of view. You've said it several times now, and it's just arrogant to assume that you are capable of removing all the influences in your life from your consideration of an issue, and conclude on that issue independently of anything and everything you've ever been through. Objectivity only exists if Gods exist, and I'm very doubtful about that. But I'm pretty sure you're not one.

Anyone can find anything degrading. That's not enough reason to take the issue seriously. If I see a man doing something offensive, and I feel offended as a man because I think he represents all men...well then I'm just an idiot, aren't I?

Well that's nice of you to decide for us that our complaints aren't legitimate and that we're just being whiny. I know that's not very manly of us, and we should just suck it up, right? Men can't be harmed, after all. And it's pretty typical of us to complain for no reason. That's what we're known for; being emotional complainers.

The women being degraded in porn are....WOMEN! That's women degrading themselves, not men forcing them to degrade themselves. And women choosing steroidal assholes instead of decent guys IS a sexist issue. It's also a global issue, because it affects which type of men succeed at spreading their genetics; violent, lying, assholes or decent, honest men.

Yeah, jobs like invading foreign nations to built roads and bridges for corporations to come exploit the country's resources. Jobs to kill resistors to those invasions. Jobs training the next hostile puppet regime for whichever African or Middle Eastern nation we're destabilizing today. All very honorable jobs, I'm sure. How about you do some humanitarian work in your own country and stop trying to force Western Imperialism on the rest of the world. You probably don't even know or care that's wh…

Private Mercenary Contractor isn't a job; it's a type of exploitation. It's piracy.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
