You remind me of myself 10 years ago. I will tell you what someone should have told me (but didn't): find something you love (literally whatever, fishing, lifting, writing...any activity you can do by yourself and is outcome-indipendent, so for ex. not pick-up) and stick with it. Become an expert. Be passionate and do not worry about the money yet. If you go down the "mainstream" route (and you most likely will as people have to make their own mistakes), remember that it is never to late to chan…

I have been in a situation similar to yours in my professional life: what I would recommend is not get into banking if you are not 100% committed (and even then the odds of staying in the industry for 2+ years are low). If you like finance but hate the long hours I would recommend to work at a startup/small fund or consider doing a phd if you have great grades. Gl

If I were you I would get a new job first (it may take time but try to find a good fit), then move out, then keep going! At the beginning a few simple things can substantially improve your life, no need to rush.
