struggling with criticism two years inthere are trade-offs with the career though. once i'm "there", so-to-speak, i will have a lot of free time. i've seen other women in the field make it work. one is pretty much a stay at home mom with this job. it's the grind beforehand, and obviously i want to finish the grindy part ASAP because i'm approaching 30 in a few years. | /r/RedPillWomen | 23/06/17 02:26 PM
struggling with criticism two years inyes yes, i already did a post about this a long time ago, i was concerned too. i did plenty of research and thinking beforehand. but your personal anecdote (and others) doesn't mean my situation will be a disaster. there are plenty of disastrous marriages and relationships both pre-moving in and post-moving in. for the most part, living together has enhanced our lives, and we genuinely look forward to seeing each other after a long day. yes, we've had marriage talks and beyond that. | /r/RedPillWomen | 23/06/17 02:23 PM
struggling with criticism two years ini agree with this. i block social media, for the most part. i find it has a negative impact on my overall mental health. my priorities are my boyfriend (hm maybe this post isn't aligning with that value), my mom/sis, two rp-ish friends close by (they're christian, i don't think they know they leans towards RPW at all), and my career. so my circle of concern is quite small. i also go hiking with said friends/boyfriend to take a break from sitting all the time. i guess balance would mean dividing … | /r/RedPillWomen | 23/06/17 01:45 PM
struggling with criticism two years init's good you bring that up, i'm not sure if i've put 'balance' as a value in my life. i will have to reassess if that's important to me. | /r/RedPillWomen | 23/06/17 08:26 AM
struggling with criticism two years insacrifice: i don't want to sacrifice this career. i love it, even though it's making life a bit difficult. i know RPW is all about stay at home moms/choosing less demanding careers--- and i plan on adopting a more domestic life once i can go full freelance---but this skillset is just in my blood, it's been a hardcore passion ever since i was a kiddo. minimizing expenses: could sell my car, take transit instead. but nothing is close by, so commute to work would be 1-1.5 hr each way. somehow my gy… | /r/RedPillWomen | 23/06/17 08:13 AM
struggling with criticism two years inI am quite set on my career. It isn't lucrative yet, I can't rely on it. So I need the other job. I'm competing with people that put in 10-12 hours a day of practice. My expenses need to be paid too. so I'm not sure what working part time would do except increase my amount of financial stress. | /r/RedPillWomen | 23/06/17 07:34 AM
What are your Favorite Holiday Traditions? What do you dislike the most about the holiday season? What do you like about it? Family, time with partner, cooking, snow, snowshoeing, skiing, more snow..... What do you hate about it? Shopping, spending, eating unhealthy, the amount of food, malls, weird expectations that people have, not being in a regular schedule What could the world do better? Use Christmas as a ritual where everyone goes to the mountains, plays in the snow, and eats healthy but yummy food together. no presents no advertisements , just playing and socializing and being happy t… | /r/RedPillWives | 30/12/16 05:33 PM
Looking for relationship adviceHe sounds insecure and like he has some issues. "If you want to leave I understand" wtf!? I don't want to hear that coming out of a guy's mouth who I am vetting to be my captain!!! | /r/RedPillWives | 13/10/16 03:14 AM
Wanted my ex back update, why sex matters and tips if you have low libido.I second this. You absolutely need to communicate with your partner. Most men are having intercourse from their point of view (they orgasm easily and almost always). When we first met, my partner was discouraged to find out that I don't orgasm from penetration. However, he also didn't realize that many women fake it, and he had no idea that as little as 20% actually orgasm from penetration. So...you're lucky that you do!! This misinformation is probably related to pornography. In fact, I don't o… | /r/RedPillWomen | 10/10/16 09:33 PM
Into the family therapy domeAll the best to you and your family. I want to say that I truly admire your handle on the situation, and that I believe you and your wife are on the right path. M sounds very sweet. I think your family has a solid chance to change and become closer to one another due to your newfound leadership. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 09/10/16 12:27 PM
He has given me a conditional offer to move me to LTR status based on my self-improvement. Take it or leave it?Ah sorry, I was pretty tired when I read your post. I get it now. I agree with the other commenters that it won't be the same as a guy who is head over heels for you and wants to lock you down from the start. But six months should be fine to see where things are at! | /r/RedPillWomen | 04/10/16 04:25 AM
Reflections with RPWi: 10/03/2016Yeah i have actually been to a doctor about it a few times. They usually prescribe me beta blockers. It runs in my family, my sister has it worse. i'm feeling better today. I believe it's mostly correlated to a lack of sleep and too much caffeine. Thanks for your suggestion! | /r/RedPillWives | 04/10/16 04:18 AM
He has given me a conditional offer to move me to LTR status based on my self-improvement. Take it or leave it?"I also started to have regular sex with him outside of a committed relationship, a huge mistake on my part." You understand how damaging this is, correct? Relationships that begin on this premise do not usually last. Does he know that you were in a relationship at that point in time? "After expressing that I have invested emotionally in him and I'm afraid of getting hurt, he did tell me that if I did make some big changes in my life (regular exercise, healthy choices, and mindfulness) he would … | /r/RedPillWomen | 03/10/16 06:55 PM
Reflections with RPWi: 10/03/2016good: exercising, trying to be organized and diligent with schedule. i'm a bit pessimistic about this week so i can't think of anything else except that my life is....good. it's simply myself i need to work on. bad/ugly: time management is all over the place. frustrated that i hardly spent time with my SO on fri/sat. sunday i had work to do, but tried to put it aside and went out with him regardless. my MOOD was not great, though. i kept recognizing my horrible moods, but had the worst time curb… | /r/RedPillWives | 03/10/16 06:32 PM
How do you deal with a flaky guy? He's in it for the game, not for you. He probably gets bored easily, or sees you as backup as he beta-orbits some chick he'll never get laid with. Don't go there. I'd cut off contact. If a guy is into you, he's into you. You'll know it when it happens. | /r/RedPillWomen | 02/10/16 01:38 AM
Navigating my marriage via the cesspit that is my brain aka - look deeply into your feelings before you get cross with your husband."they are just dramas that I create in my own mind in order to deal with what is going on in my life or just because my mind is a bit of a cesspit." I can relate to this. But don't feel like you're alone, I'm pretty sure all women are guilty of this to some extent. It's great that you're aware of it, and thanks to your post, you've made me aware of it too. I'm going to actively work on conquering this like you have this week :) keep it up. | /r/RedPillWives | 30/09/16 02:18 AM
Raise your SMV. Lose weight.Lol i got so much flack for hovering around 1200 calories a day. (I'm barely 5'1'"). when I was strict about it, i had no issues getting all my protein/carbs/fat in for the day and kept a decent amount of muscle mass in my glutes/hams and important areas. I'm going to go back to it, it wasn't too difficult. it made me realize how often i stuff my face. But when I told my girlfriends, it triggered them so bad. Best to keep it to yourself. | /r/RedPillWomen | 29/09/16 09:07 PM
Weekly Reflections with RPWi: 09/26/16She would probably faint if I showed her this sub, but I did have that guide in the back of my head ;) | /r/RedPillWives | 29/09/16 08:58 PM
Weekly Reflections with RPWi: 09/26/16I just want to say that you are lovely, and I'm so grateful I get to read your posts. They're inspiring. Keep it up! | /r/RedPillWives | 29/09/16 08:24 PM
Weekly Reflections with RPWi: 09/26/16"good: wasn't a bitch" LOL I'm hoping i can write this one down next week. :p | /r/RedPillWives | 29/09/16 08:23 PM
Weekly Reflections with RPWi: 09/26/16So glad you're doing these threads. Thank you! Been a while since I've been around. This is a new account, abandoning an old one for multiple reasons. Good: Cooked pizza with my SO. We had a blast. Watched star trek for the first time with my SO, since he's into it. I'm hooked. Relationship with mom is getting a lot better. Distance has really helped me not focus on her flaws and I'm having a better time accepting who she is. Feeling stable financially, life is pretty good. :D I work out at leas… | /r/RedPillWives | 29/09/16 08:16 PM
1 Week Challenge SuggestionsI love all these ideas--but I think this one is the most important! I think women actually have more trouble listening than men do. Listening and reflecting is so, so, so much more important than talking. | /r/RedPillWives | 29/09/16 08:03 PM
Age gap and sex talk, red flags? This is why RPW says commitment before sex. I find the responses in this thread annoying for this reason, hardly anyone has mentioned this. Let's get to the bottom of this: if I were in your position, I would say: "I don't have sex if I am not in an established relationship." or "Sorry, it's against my values to have sex outside of relationships." And by relationship, we're meaning that his friends know about you, his family knows about you, etc. If he says "OK, be my girlfriend" and you are a s… | /r/RedPillWomen | 09/06/16 03:07 AM
