1	Seeking advice for mens' groups near me You could look in to volunteering on a local ‘habitat for humanity’ build. It wouldn’t specifically be a ‘men’s club’, but I expect it could be a low commitment way to work alongside carpenters / electricians / plumbers / tradesmen, maybe make some connections and possibly pick up some basic skills, maybe even leading to something bigger down the line. 2	Tumblr user wants to forcibly sterilise pubescent boys It's an interesting thought experiment, but I think a better implementation would be a universal sperm and egg bank everyone makes a deposit to, and then everyone gets sterilized, both men AND women. If a couple wants a child, then both need to be certified as capable of raising and caring for one, and maybe given a class on parenting. A bunch of years ago I joined a 'gym' that was just the house next door some guy bought with some buddies, where they pooled their collective home gym gear (then added some more over time). Didn’t have a 'staff'; when you signed up the guy gave you a key, gave a tour and cut you loose. Could come and go at will, but he locked a deadbolt at 10pm, so you had to get there before that if you wanted a late workout, but could exit a one-way side door. 24	Why male authors are being written out of fiction: As a female writer sparks a storm by saying too many novels are penned by women I'd say it's self re-enforcing as well. My sister got my wife and I a 'book of the month' subscription for Christmas where you can pick one of 5-6 titles every month, and I swear all but a handful where female authors writing stories of independent, empowered women (and the rest were minority or dealt with alternative sexuality issues). 2	Why aren't men more afraid? I'm a big dude - 6'5, 230lb or so. I'm not 'afraid', and don't hesitate to walk around alone at night. I try not to be stupid about it - pay attention to my surroundings, etc. I've done martial arts training in the (depressingly distant) past, and although I doubt it would do me much good in an actual fight, I believe the confidence it gives does a lot to discourage many potential threats. 15	Tired of Netflix and it's misandry series Recently watched 'A Damsel in Distress' (1937) with Fred Astaire, George Burns and Gracy Allen, who made an entire career playing a 'dumb blond' (not sure if she was actually blond, as it was black and white). 1	California Senate Bill 826 mandates all Corporations to have a certain amount of women in the board of directors or else they'll pay a hefty fine. This does not include men. Women are now by-law get to be a board of director while men doesn't. So much for gender equality.
