1	'Girls in tech' competition won by boy Honestly, don't think it has anything to do with how women perceive men in a weak way etc. It is something that is overlooked though. Most likely, just because the amount of men on these courses is high in comparison to that of women. So they don't see it as a problem. Which, in itself, is a problem. 1	'Girls in tech' competition won by boy If you are in uni and doing a STEM subject then surely, they shouldn't have to try and get women interested in tech. I agree it is easier to instill at a younger age. I am really thankful that my dad was there for me and encouraged me to do different things that weren't playing with barbies and the like. 4	'Girls in tech' competition won by boy I think they mean it in a different way, to encourage women to stay in tech. But yup, that's how I take these thing. My results as on par with everyone else in my course and I am one of the few with an internship and graduate job offer from my course. So to get these invites to women only shit, yeah some of the guys on the course might benefit more from the extra options than I would. 3	'Girls in tech' competition won by boy Wonder what the male to female ratio was here though. For some reason I automatically assume it to be mostly women then a handful of men. But, if they opened the competition to boys afterwards, they probably didn't have enough entrants to begin with. 13	'Girls in tech' competition won by boy I do Computer and Electronic systems Engineering at uni and get so many emails about girls only scholarships and internships. Girls only events. 2	Why men and women should NEVER be friends Sorry but I was reading earlier, some men obviously don't like feeling that they can't express emotions without being made fun of or being told, no you shouldn't be expressing yourself this way because you are a man. And yet, you make a point to put down women in general because of emotions too? How many times have you heard a man say "I feel.." instead of "I think.."? Damn right it's less.
