Same. I finished a music education degree, luckily I double majored in computer science as well. By the end of my student teaching I was well aware that there was a giant target on my back. The parents cave. In the US you have to decline circumcision an average of 12 times, to ensure it won't happen. There have been cases, though not many, where they didn't have parental consent and some doctor did it anyway, because it is pushed by these people so hard. I'll take it a step further, and point out that the US has the largest number of people, and overwhelmingly the largest percentage of their population locked up. Just based on these two statistics alone, apparently American men are 8 times more likely to be criminals than Chinese men and women, since we have roughly twice the prisoners with 1/4 the population, but their sexual disparity doesn't seem quite as high as the US's.

They didn't say that. I heard that because I was 4 or 5, and didn't totally understand the situation. By the time I was 10-12 I understood what they had actually said, but by then I was fanatical about cleanliness down there, which my girlfriend's certainly appreciated later in college. They said keep it clean, by washing under the skin every day, and pulling the skin back over the head, or the doctors will likely try to cut off the infected part, as basic hygiene instructions.

By the time one has a masters degree, much less a PhD, one has already run multiple scientific experiments. He is fully qualified to be doing such experiments along side any medical student. To be totally fair, the only reason beards lost favour was due to soldiers being forced to shave in wwii. Since they were issued razors, and admittedly, a duck dynasty beard is probably not the best for a raw recruit trying to learn how to shoot his Garand rifle, the military decided it was basic hygiene. Of course, the only basic hygiene requirements for females remains quite lax from the smell of them when I was in.
