I hate to say it, but girls are better at sitting quietly and taking directions. Is it biology or socialization? I don't know. If it's socialization the solution is easy: stop treating children differently b/c of their sex. Then boys/girls will be on the same level. If it's a biological difference then accommodations are necessary. BTW, school teachers (grade school, not University) have been female for a long time.

I'm not surprised. If I hadn't helped myself by documenting every time my wife hit me, "no one" would have helped me. I contacted DV shelters and the one's that didn't outright ignore me told he I had to file a restraining order/order of protection and that meant that my wife got my children and the house and all I got was a place to sleep for three days... I now have to deal with men with more hair product than me, better grooming than me, and more into fashion than me, and are not gay. Stop dating vain and insecure people. I wouldn't date a guy or girl who was really into fashion and hair "product." Not all guys are metro.

Or have a stay at home husband. That works as well. Many of my professors, who are also successful lawyers, have husbands who stay at home and take care of the kids. Having a family and having both partners work seems difficult. It shouldn't be assumed the women should be the one to stay at home, especially if her earning power is higher than that of her partner. Men used to be able to make more money and they worked. Now it depends on the individual.

If a women slaps her male partner, she should be punished. If in retaliation he holds her down and continues beating her, even though the threat has been neutralized, he should be punished. It should work the same way as assault and battery. You have a right to defend yourself, but if you go too far you'll be punished.

I find it ridiculous that women aren't included in the SS (wow, I just relied what that looks like ;). The womens group proponents of the Equal Right Amendment refused to support an exemption for women in the SS and it contributed to it not being ratified. This is not something women wanted. Occasionally I hear women my age say something stupid like "all men are jerks" and they're usually the type of people who are attracted to jerks. If they were lesbians they'd be dating female jerks.
