For whatever reason some people will lose at the game of life. Its neither fair nor logical. The random hand of the universe deems one person better thsn the other.

That morgue joke is god awful. This mustube the tom brady rule in full effect.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/16 08:23 PM

There is only 1 excuse: the world doesnt like ugly.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/16 08:22 PM

That's a horrible thing to say.

And whatever incel ends up as collateral damage.

Lol. The one (of a dozen I contacted) who called me back told me she wasn't in town.

Ok so when I have trump level $$$ in about 3 lifetimes...
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/16 08:54 PM

Lol. Does that exclude a large chunk of California in one way or another?

Hmm... I thought Reddit already had this feature. I mean I hardly ever get any replies so I assumed everyone had me on block.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/16 09:59 PM
1

Well thst I do already
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/16 03:12 AM

Well that's a function of 21st century internet culture. If you post criticism of anything(from Trump's candidacy to TERFs to Black Lives Matter to Sad Puppy Scifi nominees) the adherents will circle the wagons.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/16 08:33 PM

Lol no. Chad is actually short for Perma-Chad. He morphs from the cool frat bro to the cool Dad to the cool grandpa.

Incel here. I haven't tried RP because it sounds god awful. I dont doubt thst it works. But it is so horrendous. I just cant bring myself to do it.

I saw two down right hideous people by clicking that link.

Alpha is about how you conduct yourself in life. Most athletes, film stars and financiers are alpha. Others aren't despite how rich they are. Ballmer comes to mind.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/16 09:27 PM
1

Two more alpha examples. Especially Jobs. He built a career getting people to worship a piece of glass and metal and then spend $600 on it. All while ignoring his daughter and colluding with other Silicon Giant greats to screw over engineers
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/16 09:05 PM

I can state with 100% confidence that the sky is green. I would be completely wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/16 08:40 PM

There's no guarantee of that.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/16 08:34 PM

He's accomplished far more than i (and I'm assuming you) have.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/16 08:19 PM

Increased the value of his father's company several times over turning its focus from middle class mid rise apt buildings to luxury high rises. Built a career in hotels resorts and casinos. Turned his name into a brand in and of itself.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/16 07:53 PM
1

You're always "paying for it" one way or another.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/16 10:07 PM
1

If you turned your daddy's company into something your father never thought possible would that not be your accomplishment?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/16 10:06 PM
1

I don't know. JFK had a real hard time keeping the CIA and the State Dept inline vis a vis Cuba and Vietnam.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/16 11:21 PM
2

Why would it be my problem if someone else cant read?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/16 07:25 PM
1

So then the answer is we don't know if any of these stories are true or false. Therefore they are completely useless.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/16 12:49 PM

Sorry auto correct. You were right I meant trolling
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/16 12:47 PM

Around new york way the thinking is "sure I make 6 figures and drive a luxury car but I cant be rich because im just like everyone else. I must be middle class." These are the same folks who vote left wing and then ask their accountant to dig deep for all possible deductions.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/16 10:16 PM
1

Maybe they think you are truly. Or , more likely, its an anti -TRP bias. A lot of other /r/'s circle the wagons when they see TRP in someone's post history.

Large scale business are doing fine (especially those owned by institutional investors) . What about small and medium businesses? Wouldn't more costs push them towards being bought by the late corporations? And ultimately push us closer to total corporatization ?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/16 09:18 PM
1

Paternal (as in the putative father's consent) not parental. I do the same thing. At quick glance the words are very nearly identical.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/16 09:16 PM
1

Well the question was would you like the person they were previously.? A follow up: if yes, then do you find it unfortunate that that potential partner now no longer exists?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/16 09:12 PM

SF was hitting PBI on what PBI was providing him. Whatever he gave you is neither here nor there as far as my explanation was concerned because I make it habit to never hit the Continue Thread link.

Like you I oppose corporate handouts. But why is your answer more handouts for the people and not less handouts for business?

A core tenant of being a male ally is to see past your dick. Another core tenant is to check misogyny and patriarchy in all of its forms. /u/statsfodder. Is basically telling ProbablyBelievesIt that if you are truly an ally (as indicatedby his admonishment to statsfodder to see past his dick) then shouldn't probablybelievesit also check these abusive males? Or is probably lbelieves it. Only a male ally online where it doesnt require much real effort?

To me it means thar both sides dont give any actionable advice are both comprised of assholes shouting past each other.

Except his similar looking brother had relationships. There's much more to ER's psychological makeup. He cant easily be pigeonholed to make a point.

Lookism. Nice.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/16 02:17 PM

Not necessarily. It's not like we lacked the forensic tools to determine cause and effect vis a vis medical conditions. For example: We've known what plants to avoid for 1000s of years; Europeans started banning lead based paint in 1909; Thalidomide went on the market in 1957 and was taken off the market in 1961. Its likely thst peanut allergies are increasing. There could very well be some environmental factor at play in utero.

Its just very odd. The "Alcohol lowers inhibitions" line has been a part of the risky behavior health class curriculum for years (at least in progressive states. So why would this be a surprise to anyone?

Society. Generally through subtle mass media ways: america's new favorite starlet proudly proclaims her abortion number (Elizabeth Banks can show her how that is done) as well as positive abortion themes in all television and film ("16 & Childfree" , "Jane the Carefree Virgin", "The Secret Life ofAmerican Teenagers without Kids")...

So the low SMV girl is allowed to be angry but the low sMV guy is not? And as for your #1 I would rather we leave in a polite enough society where men and women do not mock those that are beneath them.

Lets take sex out of the equation. Chad gets drunk and kills 6 people. He's Chad. He gets probation. Johnny does Miranda he gets 20 years. Its not t hat Johnny wants to get away with killing 6 people. He just wants to live in a society with equal treatment.

He average football thinks ALL women are amenable to their attentions. Thats part of the hero worship effect. The other part is having an entire town full of folks willing to protect their reputation when they encounter that one woman who doesnt want her ass grabbed.

Florida overturned a law requiring paternal consent because the Left said it placed undue hardship on women and the Right was afraid it would lead to more abortions

As a 36 year old virgin with plenty of female friends I can tell you that things ate not appreciably better then they were when I was a 20 something virgin with no female friends
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/16 06:33 PM

Being a virgin with a lot of female friends is better than being a virgin with no female friends playing video games all day with only guys in your life. From personal experience I can tell you no it isn't.

Feminism at its core is equal rights for all people. Is that the ideal of feminism? If so, who will be the guardian of this ideal while it is assaulted from both sides (tumblrinas hijacking the message and MRAs dealing in strawpersons)?

This exact same post is coming up weekly now. And its always by some college age Chad. Buddy, don't you think your inordinate amount of action is coloring your views on this subject. I'll pose this question : have you ever heard of a late Bloomer? The guy who looks like he's 12 yo well past grad school. At some point he's finally going to look like an adult and he'll finally be welcomed into the world of adult dating. Plus LOL at your suggestion to join a frat. Because being a part of an entitle…

This doesnt jibe with what I've seen. Admittedly the 35 on 20 pairing is very very rare (the 35 on 25-27 pairing is much more common by comparison) . But when I do see it the man is usually God awful ugly and the women is model hot. It leads me to think this can only be a sugar daddy situation. I had a boss who looked legit like Senator palpatine and he would jet off to mallorca or Cannes and come back with some new gf.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/15 09:42 PM

I wish I knew. I was just there . I wasn't even talking to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/15 08:06 PM

Oops sorry I was replying to /u/Drenzard but misclicked. There was a time I was labeled creepy just for being there. As in "Psst, who's that creepy guy? /r/PurplePillDebate18/12/15 10:10 PM

Just a bit of personal experience. Hearing "Get a load of this one" gets a little old.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/15 04:21 AM
4

Exactly. Going to the grocery store is not an invitation to mock the hell out of me. Unfortunately /u/belletaco , /u/CuddleLumpkin and TBP dont seem to understand that. Hell, they assume im some TRP douche nozzle without any evidence.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/15 03:24 AM

I didnt know autism was a conscious decision. Like I said your wide net causes quite a bit of collateral damage.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/15 03:16 AM

What about neckbeards and niceguys. And remember that the internet trope of Nice Guy TM is not remotely like anyone I have met in real life. I've far more average decent guys who have been beaten done by outsized expectations of the opposite sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/15 11:27 PM

I absolutely agree that TRP is equally horrible but TBP and the other groups mentioned end up casting a wide net of collateral damage while hitting back at their so called legitimate targets.

What if its the appropriate word to use for the situation? . That word had a specific meaning as an insult before it was deemed a loaded slur.

That sounds more like Nice Guy TM. I see nice guy more as "hey I really enjoy spending time with you. Let's be friends. If it turns into something more tomorrow or we remaining nothing more than 'just friends' for eternity, I'm fine either way." And he means it. It isn't a line to soften her defenses.

If you aren't an actual nice guy than what are you.

Are we to believe these relationships aare happy simply because OP says they are happy? Is OP under no obligation to prove they truly are happy?

That's a great link but it's a sparsely travelled academic website. I'll cheer when that notion makes its way to pop-feminism web sites like Jezebel or xojane and when the notion becomes a trending hashtag. Or better yet when prominent voices change VAWA to VAPA.

IMHO the pressures on women to not enter the Tech industry come from outside the Tech industry. They come from the woman's own family and friends who say things like "Really? Computer science? Isn't that all full of nerds and shit. Here, here's the latest Glamour magazine." There's isn't anything biologically innate to women that would steer them from programming or any other field that is overwhelmingly male. Who said firearms were tge problem. In an era when firearms were easier to get you didnt see as many mass shootings. Looks to me that something else is amiss. Firearms are just a useful scape goat. We can pass some do-nothing laws, pat ourselves on the back, and not solve the problem.

No, the scenario is two people trying to save money in a very expensive city. 1 lives with his patents and the other lives in an illegal apartment with an excessive number of roommates. Is one situation automatically better than the other? Would dating one be considered lowering one's standards? But dating the other would not be considered the same?

I think what you are seeing is that feminist thought can clash with he desires if the average American woman. Remember there are conservative women out there. Women who prefer traditional gender roles. This is why I have little use for feminist based dating advice like drnerdlove. What he suggests will have little success in my corner of the world.

Here's another anecdote for you: I have always been the stereotypical scrawny pipsqueak little brother type. In High School, girls my age didn't want to have anything to do with me. They were more interested in college guys (or at least guys who looked college aged). In college, women my age didn't look my way. They were more interested in the guys ~5 years older who had the apartment in Manhattan. Post college, women my age didn't look my way. They were more interested in the guy who owned his …

Not what I heard from trp. Trp has told me that the women wants to use the man for whatever he can provide. If its not status than it is cash. In the llatter case the cash is used to make herself feel better. The article suggests this is accomplished through spending.

If a women wants a man to buy her stuff to show his love how does this study blow that out if the water? If anything it confirms trp. Catholicism is pretty popular, I don't see how it works for its adherents. It separates people from their money and makes people feel bad about themselves to boot. The size of a group does not necessarily correlate to who well it works. A small study group in a college setting may very well be the mist successful at boosting the grades of their members. Perhaps they interact well and compliment each other's strengths.

Remember it's just 4chan. Are you really going to give the AV squad that much power?

Do you really care that much about these people. Isn't there anything else you'd rather do with your time.

And who decides the law? People in power. People like the Koch Bris, the Bush/Clinton dueling oligarchs, Putin's pals, etc. Be very careful with your line of thinking. You may not like he outcome.

As a guy who is shorter and slighter than mist woman I have encountered I will have to disagree. I have been physically intimidated by women. Also I can imagine, if I were attractive enough to generate older woman interest at 14, that that would be an uncomfortable experience for me.

I'm just talking about "hi" and a nod. I'm an introvert who wishes he was an extrovert. Yes loud gregarious people make me uncomfortable ... even at the office where sociability is expected. I fully understand that others have it even worse. There's nothing wrong with that. But let's not build a world where we can't say hi to each other. That sounds like a bad 70s sci fi student film where we all shave our heads and wear formless robes.

As I'm walking to where I am going.

But that's not "Hi".
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/15 12:38 PM

And that was a pretty shitty era with incredibly stifling social rules.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/15 11:27 AM

At the office you dont have time to say "Fine and yourself?" Is everybody running at your office? Are you short staffed? Have you ever considered that you simply aren't very friendly. I make no judgements about that. You are free to live your life as you see fit. But when you seek to create societal rules that punish those of us who are friendly I'm going to have to put my foot down.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/15 11:20 AM

Except there are blue pullers on this very thread who believe "Hi" is harrasment.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/15 11:11 AM

Those are examples of guide books that, in a particular time and place, people felt they very much needed. Others would not look down upon anyone who decided they needed the assistance if a guidebook. Yet in our highly charged gender war atmosphere, anyone who needs a guide book on relationships is suddenly a freak of nature.

There are all sorts of guides in different realms of life why not this one? Be that as it may my anti-americanism distracted me from my original premise. I was trying to led you along but you didnt take the bait. What is the precursor to paid parental leave? FMLA. So why not have Paid Family Medical Leave? That way childfree individuals would be able to draw a salary while caring for parents, sibling…

/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/15 02:58 PM

Because that equation has existed far before parental leave was put into place. That concept exists outside the above equation. What works in Europe may not (and quite possibly will not) work in 'Murica.

/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/15 01:38 PM

That's it? Take it to management and say "oh well they didn't listen"? There isn't anything more they can do? Goto the media, their professional organization, a government agency? I don't hate all doctors and engineers. Just the American ones. The Euro folks can design my household items to their hearts' content. Oh and I haven't been to the doctor since probably 2010 and before that 2000.

Boeing just got sued for poisoning flight attendents . Internal emails showed an engineering stating that the C level is going to need to see "tombstones" (his words) before taking action. How many Chevy engineers expressed concern over ignition flaws but did little more than that? As for the doctors.. come on.. you haven't heard anything about Big Pharma 's cozy relationships with GPs? Who signed off on the Minnesota bridge that collapsed over the wrong size plate?

/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/15 12:41 AM

Way to rub it in. Lol
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/15 08:18 PM

I wish that were the case. But in reality the hot girls go for the hot guys, the not so hot girls go for the hot guys, the average girls go for the hot guys, etc. Pretty in Pink is the perfect analogy : plain Jane pines for hot preppy guy out of her league while quirky friend wants her. In the end she ends up with preppy dude only because the original ending where she ended up with the quirky friend was hop's by test audiences.

Not being TRP I cannot answer for them. IMO however, I've never been upset when attractive women go for attractive men. That's simply assortative matching. What does get on my nerves though is when the women who aren't as attractive demand more attractive men and then become pissy when an ugmo like me is the only one interested in them.

No, through broad swathes of 'Murica both men and women are under the delusion that their older selves will have the same number of quality options as their younger selves. As other people pair up, higher quality individuals are no longer available. I wouldn't recommend marrying before one is ready. But at the same time, I would recommend that one doesn't wait to long.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/15 11:50 AM

Both sides fully understand what is presented to them concerning the other side. If there's a misunderstanding, then we would need to look at the presentation.

It shows we are from two different worlds. Either due to a function of class or geography, in my world people (of all genders) due shitty things (like glade accusations) to other people on the regular. I don't want to discuss the girl in the photo because she's a real person and I don't know the real story. So let's discuss a hypothetical person X. This person (of any gender) gets drunk (but not drunk enough to render the ability to consent an issue), has sex and regrets it the next morning. Now…

Under said law individuals can be prosecuted for lying to obtain sex. Goto example is a man who misrepresents his wealth. OP believes women who misrepresent their partner count should face the same punishment. He's asking BP to change his view.

I have no arguements with those types of incidents. But there are others who want to expand he definition to include lying about the amount of money you have. And if that's the case then why not criminalize lying about the number of previous partners you have had?

The friend zone is a toxic friendship where one person (of any gender) leads another person (of any gender) along with the promise of something more(not necessarily sex). So the idea that only men get caught in the friend zone is false. The idea that people who talk about being in the friend zone are whiny and entitled is false. The idea that believing in the friend zone promotes rape culture is false.

Yes but this is 'Murica. Things are different here. People with better options persue those options.

Well who wants to listen to anyone brag about anything
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/15 07:51 PM

Or maybe not as this 36 yo virgin can attest.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/15 07:49 PM

And on the flip flipside I get zero attention on social media. Sooo...

It is if the same man would have been considered attractive just one generation ago. Women have stopped to the level of shallowness normally ascribed ro men and society is worse off for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/15 07:42 PM

Stop blaming women for what ... being shallow? That kinda seems like that is their fault.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/15 07:39 PM
1

Well some dudes just flat out aren't masculine. Some of preferred reading Ranger Rick and Zoobook magazines.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/15 07:37 PM

Can't really give much other than I was sitting there by myself at a sporting event.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/15 02:36 AM
1

I'm sure they have tried other avenues. TRP has a rather high barrier to entry. There's a lit of condition a person has to just throw out. And a person who isn't naturally an asshole can't just become one overnight. And finally you have folks like me who would rather die alone than go TRP.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/15 02:35 AM
1

Fair enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 09:02 PM

I wouldn't know what people were thinking vis a vis ONS. That is so far out of my world.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 06:52 PM

Then this is exactly what many of us are talking about. Approaching becomes a matter of if hot, then not creepy and if ugly then creepy. We are pointing out the inherent unfairness and would prefer if hot then not creepy and if ugly then neutral no thank you.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 06:48 PM
1

What about approaching them with the intent of a relationship?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 03:49 PM

Volunteer with your local feeding /CNR group like I do.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 03:48 PM
1

Have you polled all women on this?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 03:47 PM
1

Hitting on someone doesn't necessarily cross such a boundary. The act of hitting on someone may very well be the process of feeling out the boundary. The other person says no and the former says thank you for your time and goes on his or her way.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 02:48 PM
1

Do you believe that being physically weaker gives them a pass from being insensitive or bullying behavior because they are less dangerous? Then, the average woman may be weaker than the average man, but what about the below average man? Or can't women use weapons to "level the playing field" so to speak? Or strike when the man has his back turned/is sleeping/is showering?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 02:45 PM
2

Hmm. I would consider ignoring a stray puppy a violation of Do No Harm and therefore not nice nor tolerable.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 02:42 PM
1

They don't have to be. It doesn't negate the fact that in the hundreds of thousands (maybe more) of bars and nightclubs throughout the world people can and do make sexual advances on people they just met with great success. I don't see how you can make a blanket decree that that is creepy. You, personally, may not want to be hit on by someone you just met and that's quite alright. It's also quite alright for you, individually, to consider the person who hit on you to be creepy. But to decide for…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 02:40 PM

Is that a gut feeling or has there been a study?

Who nominated you Frank Castle of the sexual marketplace?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 02:36 PM

It still broke records here in the US. Can't say the same about The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel or The Boy Next Door.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 02:32 PM

The whole "calling a guy from across the room creepy" thing stopped when I left high school. I wish I could say the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 02:28 PM
2

I've never heard a woman call a man creepy for sitting across the room minding his own business. Ever. It's actually happened to me twice. Once in college and once post college. If I want to boost my confidence, I try to convince myself that it's because I'm really hot and they're just mad that I didn't talk to them. Ha! That lasts about 3 seconds before I come back to reality. One other time a woman said dripping with sarcasm: "Who's the rock star?" In reference to me. I still can't figure out …
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 02:25 PM

I wouldn't use it as an opportunity to rip into McDonalds though.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 02:19 PM

if you are making sexual advances on someone you just met, that's creepy. Have you ever been to a bar or night club?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 02:12 PM
1

Do you believe that women can't be insensitive or bullies?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 02:10 PM

Enough of them are that they need something that mainstream advice can't provide.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 02:07 PM

Everyone is shallow, get over it. Now you're talking.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 02:03 PM
1

but thinking someone is a creep because they hit on you and they are not in your league looks wise is not unfair. It is incredibly unfair. Perhaps you and I don't place the same amount of weight on the word "creep". "Creep" should be reserved for those rare people who make us feel unsafe not simply inconvenienced.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 02:03 PM

Fortunately, there is something you can do about it personally. Exactly. A locked garage and a full tank of gas.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 01:54 PM

There is no explicit social convention that says only other attractive people can approach attractive people. Of course there is. Are you kidding me?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 01:53 PM

It's the norm for attractive men. The norm for unattractive men is to sit there and keep their mouth shut about their loneliness. Definetly do not send a flirty message - "OMG, does this creeper actually think he has a shot with me?"
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 01:51 PM
1

Absolutely but he isn't starved for attention.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 01:47 PM

It's pretty scary how many pyschos are attractive. We are conditioned to run for the hills when we see a dude who fits the Hollywood Stereotype like Stanley Tucci in Lovely Bones. Now there isn't anything here that is NSFW or the like. It's just a little squicky to think these dudes were/are dangerous. Enough to not want to leave the house. People assume that if they don't actively go out of their way to harm people, and are generally somewhat civil, that makes them nice people. "Do No Harm" is my baseline for a nice guy. Is it not yours?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 01:15 PM

a semi-masculine highly symmetrical face can be very attractive. Does not compute.

/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/15 02:10 PM

I'm fed up over being passed over but I never went red pill. Look women didn't want me as a nice guy. They wouldn't want me as an asshole. Just be honest and tell me they flat out dont want me.

Yeah,no. Nobody is interested in changing that.

No. No one has ever swiped right on me. And I'm physically fit. My comment section is not disgusting. And I have a picture of my dog.

I went to an upper middle class high school in suburban NYC. Our school was known for our Intel/Siemens semi finalists and our music program. Our sports hadn't won a damn thing in over a generation. And our jocks still were at the top of the food chain.

First thing's first : do you feel it is good or bad?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/15 04:22 AM

So wait is female on female physical violence a good thing or a bad thing in your view?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/15 04:13 AM

And if it's an article by Hugo Schwyzer you get both in one article. Bazinga!
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/15 04:11 AM

A probable comparison would be what's commonly referred to as internalized misogyny. When some women rip into others for not following their "rules" of femininity. Say when they mock other women's choice in clothing, makeup, hair.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/15 04:10 AM
3

Wait suffocation is more effective than a gunshot wound? So basically we are approaching an era of greater equality where women fell less societal pressure to conform to the "good girl " trope. As such female suicides, female hard drug overdoses and female on female acts of physical violence are increasing are increasing. Is this a step in the right direction or the wrong direction? Wouldn't it have been better to achieve equality by putting similar pressure on men?

Wait. You love America?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/15 02:16 AM

Interesting side note: that video wasn't filmed in my neighborhood. How many people ask r/conspiracy for help? Has there ever been a post like this "I'm a 21yo militia member who has never fired a .50 cal M-107. Please Help!" It isn't exactly an advice sub.

/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/15 04:55 PM

Exactly. I have no idea why this idea is so unpopular. It seems so obvious.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/15 03:42 PM

Your definition is fine for bacteria or field crickets. With humans being the planet's (and perhaps the universe's) only sentient creature, I need a standard that takes that into account.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/15 02:28 PM

All true. But that doesn't negate an individual's ownership of their own body.

Then we are disagreeing on definitions here.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/15 02:01 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/15 01:56 PM

However, if she can't provide a lifestyle that will guarantee the future adult success of her offspring her bloodline will die out sooner. That doesn't sound very successful from an evolutionary standpoint.

I disagree. I have a bachelor's and I'm miserable. It was a complete waste of time. If I had to do it over again I wouldn't goto college.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/15 08:51 PM

I disagree. SJWs carry mattresses around campus and get invited to the State of the Union. They post shoddily researched YouTube videos and end up on the Colbert report.

That dude isn't even remotely attractive. And his arrogance is atrocious. Not to mention he's boring as hell as a performer. Half the time he looks like he's falling asleep out there. But for some reason he's the porn star du jour for Tumblrina Nation.I don't get it. But then again I didn't get Adam Levine as People's Sexiest Man.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/15 06:24 PM
1

All true. But consider this : a 40yo married to a 25yo is living the dream of many. Add 10 years and if they are still together, he's a 50yo married to 35yo. Pretty rare stuff. And if she's only been with him since she was 25 then there's no CC, no hypergamy, no thousand cock stare.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/15 05:11 PM

In my experience, he'd fit right in with the people he is talking to. Sub groups generally hang out together.

MGTOW it is then.

Are you sure? "I'm going to make my wife sleep with another man even if she doesn't want to. All for my sexual gratification. And if she balks I'm dropping her for someone who will" That sounds pretty alpha.

What's with the "no"? We don't disagree. The Matrix analogy was chosen to package the information in a way that is more easily dissemintable to its target audience.

The TRP belief system isn't exactly new. Someone, somewhere decided to give it a hip, pop-culture name because ... ya know ... marketing.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/15 03:32 PM
1

Sounds plausible. TRP doesn't want to admit it, but men hit walls too. And just like women they settle for women they really aren't into then get bitter and resentful. Or maybe he got burned in his past gift giving relationship and he doesn't want that to happen again.

So many assumptions in one post.

I may have a wider definition of "lie". I would include stuff like peacocking and " fake it until you make it" along with cosmetic procedures. With that in mind most everyone on the planet has lied to get sex.

Shouldn't you be sorry the world is that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/15 02:42 PM

How will talking to yourself help him.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/15 02:40 PM
2

I fail to see how that answers his question.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/15 02:39 PM
1

In my experience it's shitty advice for both. Unless we're talking arranged marriages you need to be hot to attract some one enough to start a relationship. So simply being oneself will fail if one's self is ugly.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/15 02:38 PM
1

Can confirm. Clubbing was always so absolutely brutal.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/15 03:49 AM
1

Not necessarily. If you're normal self sucks you'll need to become a better version of yourself. Engage in new hobbies, consume works of fiction from genres outside your comfort zone, perhaps come in contact with a culture or sub-culture not of your own. One could interpret "be yourself " as "keep doing what your doing and the world will change around you to suit you"
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/15 03:47 AM
0

That depends. If Michael Caine, then cool with it. If Jude Law, then oh hell no.

1

What if Person A took Person B's "maybe later " at face value.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/15 03:07 PM
2

Your first example was definetly friend zoning. She went anyway after you pointed it out to her.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/15 03:03 PM
1

I know right. I wish it didn't exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/15 02:24 PM
2

Wait when did the definition of friendzone change? That's not he definition I grew up with. The friendzone of my youth: Person A: I like you let's date. Person B: I'd rather just be friends. Maybe things will change later. (Probably not but I say that precisely to keep you around for when I need something from you) So the freindzoning of my youth is exactly like plate spinning.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/15 02:22 PM
1

It can be when its done well. Unfortunately it's rarely done well. Studios just bank on the name recognition of the franchise being enough to put butts in the seats and don't care about crafting a decent movie.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/15 12:33 PM
1

Even if the accusation doesn't result in a conviction, I can imagine the individual who was falsely accused would feel quite victimized. However, if anything, the false accuser should be punished for contributing to the atmosphere of mistrust which makes it harder for actual rape victims to come forward.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/15 06:34 PM
1

Off the top of my head, none. And that's that? Sucks to be him? I'd much rather live in a just world where ALL rapists are convicted as well asall false accusers. I'm not worried about being falsely accused either. That doesn't mean I don't want to see justice done when false accusations occur.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/15 05:36 PM

Hopefully it would only be reserved for the most egregious offenders like the Edmonton taxi driver case.

Well Myra was released to the cemetery. But rather than be a brat, I'll call your two with Karla Homolka and Mary Bell. Looks like a 2-2 draw.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/15 05:27 PM
1

So what recourse does the victim of a false report have?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/15 05:16 PM
1

Maybe never. maybe all the time. My idea was unisex single occupancy restrooms, changing facilities, fitting rooms, etc. It provides for safety without unduly inconveniencing anyone. Not sure how that was such a controversial statement.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/15 04:41 PM

Except the Emma Watson episode shows that working to do away with toxic gender roles isn't going to magically make women attracted to guys they simply dont find attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/15 08:39 PM
4

I doubt that. A woman can't make herself be attracted to that which she does not find attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/15 08:37 PM

Couldn't "incompatability" be code for "he/she isn't as hot as I deserve"?

I actually don't see ugly men witg girlfriends or boyfriends or anything.

But it's soooo poorly written.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/15 04:58 PM

Its kinda corny. Shouldn't grown folks be over the pretty prince/princess phase? Well lavish weddings for couples are pretty corny too.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/15 04:37 PM
2

Wait ... if they find this guy repulsive why is this piece of garbage one of the best selling "novels" (just threw up a little) of all time? Why is every female radio DJ saying "oh my God. I like totally cant wait for the movie"
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/15 04:34 PM

Then what use is language, if two people who claim to speak the same one can't understand each other?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/15 01:54 PM

Do you really think my example is that completely far fetched? Sex offenders have posed as high school students, children's coaches. Hell, they've even gone through seminary or medical school just to get access to their intended victims.

Seems like your definition of game is off. There is such a thing as "Natural Game". Both men and women can gave it. Picture any character ever played by Common. These characters do not have to consciously "do" anything. They just exist and people of all genders flock to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/15 02:45 PM
1

I'm fine with that. However my problem is with the folks (usually in their early 20's) who invent new words or new definitions for existing words. 100's of people each coming up with their own special snowflake pronoun. Total Gen Y narcissism.

What if a dude is a sex criminal who lies about undergoing a gender transition to have access to the above female only spaces. It might make more sense for male-only, female-only, and trans*-only spaces.

Still doesn't warrant the amount of bandwidth wasted on warning women? "Honey, on the road of life you will encounter this certain vole that looks harmless. But if you turn your back the little shit will gnaw on your ankles. I cant tell you how annoying it is." "Wait isn't the forest full of bears and poisonous snakes and far worse?" "Yes, yes, yes. But seriously this vole... so annoying. If you do one thing on your journey it would have to be: destroy this vole."

This idea of an American hookup culture was popularized by Tom Wolfe in a 2904 novel I am Charlotte Simmons. Wolfe is known for highly fictionalized narratives presented as fact.

He's referring to how Tumblrina's use Patriarchy as an excuse to attack all men. I am a man. I'm not Men. Reminds of how I went to watch my alma Mayer's women's basketball team play at Columbia. Apparently I walked into a hornet's nest. You wouldn't believe the number of women who glared at me as though I was the enemy. I'm not the reason Emma Sulkowicz is carrying a mattress. Or are they using Female Gaze to combat Male Gaze. "This guy looks like a wimp who won't fight back. Let's get him."
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/15 03:05 PM

…there don't seem to be that many men talking in his comments … That's because they get shouted down by his regulars until they leave. Sad thing is the message board was a much safer place for a nerd guy to seek advice and they shut it down.
