Damn, yeah, I wouldn't say that is me, but I think it can be to an extent, and I'm very glad you told me this before it escalated any further. Cheers mate.

Cheers for the advice mate, I'm gonna definitely hit up a few guy friends and get some tips on seduction!

Fair enough, need to cut down on the neediness. Cheers man!

That helped so much, thank you! Great to hear a a realistic women's perspective on this, rather than just close female friends telling me 'you're great, you just haven't found her yet!!!!!' which isn't of any use to me. Analogy perfectly helped me see things clearer, so again, thank you so much, much appreciated!

That's what I've always felt and what I'm striving to change really

Yeah but like I said, not much of a problem in the UK, everyone's pretty open minded here. Although yes on the abroad thing! Definitely can't wait to visit the US and try my luck there haha

Yeah definitely, I'm going to try and prioritise a lot more time working towards my career so that I don't ever have to worry about that area of my life. Yeah, happened too many times. I get exactly what you're saying, and I think that's my problem. I cling on too much, I don't deal with rejection well. I'm going to start taking that advice into mind, thank you very much :)

I think that's probably the best thing I've heard so far tbh. Thanks for all that, I really needed to hear that. I have too many friends, and too much time goes to too many of them, I need to get my priorities straight. I'll make sure to bear in mind everything you've said, thank you again so much man, much appreciated!

Thank you so much for writing all this out! Definitely appreciated! I'll have a look at the book, and again, you seem to be on the same lines as everyone else. Fuck em, and self focus. Cheers mate.

+1 for headspace! Great app! 1 and 0 approach is definitely one I've been taking recently (especially as a CS major lol)! Fucking amazing advice man, and thanks for the great links to subreddits. And yes, another huge +1 for experiences instead of things. Since my first concert 3 years ago, I haven't stopped going, and seen some of the biggest names in the world in some of the greatest venues! Thanks again, much appreciated :)

Damn us for being too sensitive haha. See sometimes I do, sometimes I don't, either way, doesn't work out really. Confidence though however, I think after reading all the comments here is something I'm definitely aiming to improve on. Thank you mate.

Haha, maybe I should keep it up then. That was really nice to hear man! Yeah it's been a good 3 years since my 1st and only relationship, and again, like you I was close to a girl who majorly fucked me over just a year ago from now. Thank you so much for sharing this mate :)

Damn. I didn't REALLY think this was how life worked out. Guess that's just the way it is.

Programming's not about the money, it's about the passion there I;m afraid. I see your point though. I did briefly pick up cooking, and used to have a band. Maybe time to get back to those. Thank you very much

I can't even get a first date. Whether that's someone who I've just met at a party, or someone who I've been flirting with here and there with the past couple weeks, or that girl who practically acts as if I'm her boyfriend. I think you are dead on with the appearing too interested in them, and trying to spend too much time (although the latter depends on the girl). Hm, okay, I think that does address a lot of my faults and bad habits that I do have. Thank you very much man, means a lot.

Pakistani, yeah, I think that's quite detrimental to me, but I think in a country like the UK, that shouldn't make a difference. I have an English name, I speak perfect English without a brown accent, and I act like an English person.

Surely the party environments I'm in negate the scarcity in the CS environment? Not to mention, I'd say more of my close friends are female as opposed to male. But yeah, I do completely see where you're coming from, especially with my self-esteem issues and desperation. Thank you for the advice and the link to the book.

Nice to hear someone similar to me. I'd understand my position if I didn't actually do anything about it, but ask any of my friends, and I put myself out there more than most people. I think it might be the low self esteem then that's just absolutely killing my vive. Thanks man, I'll give it a look.
/r/seduction05/06/16 06:36 PM

At this point I'm starting to think it's my subconscious body language of desperation
/r/seduction05/06/16 06:34 PM

Thank you so much for that, I really needed to hear that (or read that, lol) :)

That's what I'm starting to think now tbh
/r/seduction05/06/16 06:33 PM

Oh no as I mentioned previously I have a lot of friends, whom I'm all very thankful for. I just meant romantically, I'm undesirable.

I found that interesting too. I however am not in the same boat. And I don't think sex is much of a problem for me (though I think about it all the time), although I do crave an emotional sex life rather than a meaningless one. Again, exact same. Had so many dates cancel on me, or just not respond. I want to know how to either hide or control my subconscious communication.

'flirty comments here and there, complements and stuff to build up. then the move is either going for a kiss or asking them out to dinner or something along those lines.'

Straight to the point man, thank you very much. I'll definitely bear all this in mind from here on out.

I mean like just getting off with someone at a party. Each time it's been either I wasn't interested in a relationship with her and was only sexually attracted to her, or she wasn't interested in a relationship with me and was only sexually attracted to me, or both.
/r/seduction05/06/16 05:11 PM

Oh no, I'm very pleased with all that I have managed to accomplish. I've wanted a relationship before I rebuilt myself. The roots of my depression have nothing to do with my lack of relationship. The fact that no one wants me is however making that worse.

That's what I've been thinking of doing for a long time to be honest, so I'm glad it's not just me being crazy (obviously there are also other factors on why I want to move). Especially with all the seduction tips and stuff I see on here seem to be commenplace things that happen in the US (like just walking up to a girl and asking for her number), whereas something like that just wouldn't happen in Manchester, UK haha. Cheers for the advice man.

It doesn't matter. If the chemistry is there, the chemistry is there. I've had chemistry with what I thought was my perfect girl, and I've had chemistry with the last girl I thought I would have it with. I'm not looking for just anyone, but I'm not looking for a girl with certain exact specifications.

Yep and get shot down each time
/r/seduction05/06/16 04:46 PM

Unfortunately I already know why. I have too many best friends whom I've either hurt and have left me, or have moved away and grown distant from me, or gets their own partner, and it's at a point where everyone has a partner. I think it's that craving for a desire to have a best friend who I love more than anything, and for that person to feel the same in return. How do I suddenly not want a relationship lol
/r/seduction05/06/16 04:44 PM

I don't really know, it depends on the girl? Standard gameplan is either: Ask out someone I barely know, or ask out someone who I've gotten close to (but not close for too long). I don't know where to find the right balance here.
/r/seduction05/06/16 04:41 PM

Haha fair enough

I think that's the best thing I've heard all day man thank you, that's really lifted me up. I think that is my problem, I give away too much attention and not focus enough on just enjoying me as me. How do I find the right balance though? Like you said, had you not hit on the cute girl in the fitting room, but everytime I think about doing something like that, I feel like I am pushing myself too much onto someone?
/r/seduction05/06/16 04:40 PM

That sounds like a very good way to go and think about things, thank you so much.

Hey I wasn't trying to imply that I am. Far from it. They aren't 'excuses', I'm trying to discuss, and trying to get the most from people's opinions.

Nobody seems to notice though. Even close friends to whom I reveal that I have low self esteem are completely shocked to hear this.

Thanks for the insight on your personal experience! but idk man, I've tried the whole 'hard to get/ignoring people' game, and it just doesn't work for me. I'm one of those people that people just flat out ignore, unless I give them attention. It's really really annoying for me to find this balance, and it fucking sucks.

I don't understand where I should look then. Tinder, co-workers, wrestling academy, classmates, all the same results :/

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
