Personally, I feel like many of these studies are looking at the wrong thing - it's really freaking hard to quantify all paid and unpaid work, especially when that ends up taking up 60 plus hours a week for many people. That comment is interesting, and at least undermines the idea that the division of labor is inequitable in low income countries, but I think the reasoning breaks down in developed countries. The simple truth is that the vast majority of female coded tasks are still performed by women, and most of them still take a similar amount of time out of the average household's day, while male coded tasks have greatly faded. Plea deals all but eliminate the right to a trial, especially with options as stark as a few years probation versus 5 years of prison or presented to defendants. 2	On the topic of dress codes... Fuck that - dress codes are for stodgy corporate boardrooms. Let kids enjoy their childhoods without their teachers telling them that wearing their favorite worn-out Metallica T-shirt is more professional than their friend wearing a shoulderless blouse. 0	On the topic of dress codes... This is goofy, though. I was once a randy teenager in highschool distracted by girls regardless of if their shoulders were covered or how long their shorts were. I then went to college where there was no dress code and some girls literally wore sports bras and spandex to class... and I wasn't distracted any more.
