1	So many situations could be avoided if you just did what you were asked to do in the first place.. Choosing to do a dangerous job doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to maximize your safety. If the windows are tinted it absolutely could make sense to have them opened so you can see into the vehicle especially if there are passengers. If there is no reasonable suspicion then no you don’t have to identify yourself. As for rolling the window down it depends on the jurisdiction. You do have to roll the window down enough to communicate and pass documents.
