If you’ve never lived alone before, yes. I asked my partner to do the same thing before moving in together. I allowed us to slowly merge our lives and avoid many of the traditional problems that come up when couples move in together. Generally speaking, I’ve found moving slower actually slows things to go faster in the long run.

Some advice? Take some time off and take care of yourself. Sounds like you're putting way too much stock on the outcome of what's happening. Get to a place where you can see a bigger picture. Yeah, it was a bad week for you, but you'll get over it. Also, before you go out next time, get really clear about what you're actually looking for. Too many guys just go out and have a blanket "Yes, I'll take whatever." No. Get really specific, down to the exact way you want to meet and talk to the girl, w…

Hey man! Sorry for the late response, was out for the weekend. I've been listening to 'Looking For You.' (http://garrisoncohen.com/lookingforyou/) He literally asks women how they want men to approach them and what they're really looking for in dudes. Super interesting. I found Episode 13 with Alex Allman to be really good for me: http://garrisoncohen.com/2016/05/24/revolutionary-sex/ Let me know what you think!

Hey Dude, so glad to hear you're crushing it! I've been listening to and checking out a lot of the same work for the past few months. Reading that list made me think of another one you might like, want a link?

Hah I'm interested to see how this goes.

Damn, have you tried just talking to girls you aren't attracted to?

Ouch, that sucks dude. Sorry to hear that. What do you usually do after something like that happens?

Here's my opinion: It's good to try to be unaffected by what others think, but the truth is, you'll always be affected by others. If you aren't you're actually shutting yourself off from receiving from them. (you're actually just shutting off human connection when you do this) The trick is to find the balance between the open, receptive, vulnerable self, and the centered, grounded, okay with where you're at self. The next time you find yourself starting to analyze a situation do one of two thing…

I think what fezzesarecool4768 is trying to say is 'Do shit you already enjoy doing' or find stuff you enjoy doing that's outside of what you already are. It could be dancing, the library, a coffee shop you love, a speed dating meetup.. whatever. Just find things you like to do and go do them, the women who you'll meet there will share similar interests. I've met great friends out for midnight walks because that's what we both love to do!

Hah! Yeah man, I have some experience with that, would you like my thoughts on it?

Totally, I've been there dude. What have you done to address that?

Sweet, and it sounds like you've never really met a woman that could really meet that. Or you've been hurt in the past and are afraid to open because you might get hurt again. Is that right?

Dude, you're 18. It's fine. Calm down, be patient, the world is so much bigger than where you are now. There are SO many more girls out there than those in your school. I remember being in High School and having a similar situation happen. All the girls I wanted were taken, and I couldn't seem to talk to any of the ones I was attracted to. Yeah, it was fucking hard, but honestly looking back, most of those girls I was attracted to were actually pretty toxic people and I'm so grateful I didn't ge…

I try to find out what it is that I'm obsessing about in the person. Sometimes it's their body or how they make me feel or how I think they might make me feel. Often when I figure out what it actually is and 'name it' so to speak, it dissipates. Another strategy I use is to actually stop resisting my thoughts around something or someone and just let myself totally go for it with the obsession. Literally carve some time out of your day and just go as deeply into your fantasy / obsession / desire …

Exercise. Get into your body and get out of your head. Find ONE thing that might change that mood even just a little bit, and do it. Forget about girls, women, sex, pussy, all of it. Just take some time to pay attention to yourself, eat some good food, and take care of your body. Oh, and sleep. Seriously. After you establish a 'baseline' for yourself everything else, including women, will fall into place.

Love this maxripley, I've done similar things myself just to get over that hump of talking to people.

Damn, Seatown93 I've totally been there. I was just at a party this weekend and had a couple moments like that. What are some things that you do to help get over that?

Thanks Rx_LoveII, I really appreciate this answer. This is what I was looking for. I often find that I wish women would know I don't 'need' anything and I truly want to just relax.

I find this post weird, why not just pay attention to what you like doing, and what you think she might like doing and go from there. Why do you need to 'drown in pussy'?

Seriously, I think spysspy's nailed it. Just be honest with her when the moment arises.

Hmm, okay, so it sounds like you want a woman that will be emotionally available to you, and probably a woman that you can express more 'vulnerable' parts of yourself with. Is that correct? I'm curious, what is it you 'think' you need?

What do you think you haven't accepted about yourself and, are you actually approaching the women you're attracted to? Meaning: are you clear about what you want with women and what you're attracted to in them or are you just going about with a really big net waiting for something to fall into it because you'll take anything because you're really desperate? Quick advice: get clear about what you need in relationship and what you WANT in a woman. Then it's clear who fits it and who doesn't.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
