Yeah for sure, there's probably always going to be judgemental people out there of any gender. I'm sorry to hear that that the women that you've been around haven't been very understanding, but there's a whole world of all different kinds of people out there. Like, I know some women who have had mostly bad experiences with men and I end up telling them the same thing. I'd be like "no karen, every man doesn't suck, you just keep surrounding yourself with nothing but assholes and letting that pain…

Oh, I know that I'm in no way special or unique at all. I just know that I have a lot of flaws. Like, a crazy amount of flaws. So since I'm usually keeping that in mind, my default is to err on the side of giving someone the benefit of the doubt. I mean, yeah, there are a few deal breakers, but most of them are extreme things like, I would never consider dating a nazi, a pedo, a rapist or someone who literally wants to hurt me. Luckily, I've never had to encounter too much of any of those traits…

Yessss! It always makes me smile to see other couples who feel the same way about just being sweet to each other!

I'm a woman who is with another woman, but has been into guys as well. Honest answer? I'd just do it for them because I like making my partner happy (this would apply to dating either gender). I'm really lucky in having a partner that would do the same for me at any time though, so it's all mutual :-)

I mean, anyone being rude to people in general aren't worth spending time on. None of us should let people treat us like that regardless of gender

So, I'm new to this subreddit and not really sure what a "shit test" is, but I can say for certain that I can usually tell pretty easily when someone isn't being sincere with me. I'd rather accept someone for their flaws than have them putting on some kind of act. Everyone's different though, so I dunno, maybe that's just me.

Weird, I just distract myself with weed, music and reality tv in those situations. In my entire life, the only guys I've been interested in were the ones who were genuinely sweet and just saw me as a person. On the other hand, most of the women I've been interested in have ended up being whatever the woman version of a "Chad" is lol. I guess human sexuality is just really complicated. Or, does this whole theory only apply to straight women and there's some other theory going around that addresse…

Ummm, what? That doesn't make any sense to me. I'd waaaay more prefer someone who sees me for who I am instead of projecting some broad assumption on me. I don't have any illusions about being unique or special or anything like that, but people are complicated and vary pretty dramatically from each other. I would never do that kind of thing to a guy because I know that not all guys are the same and probably wouldn't appreciate being lumped in with all other guys. The whole thing in that link jus…

I dunno, I honestly would prefer to be treated casually in that way. It makes things less awkward without anyone worrying about anyone else's expectations. But that's just me though. I know some other women who feel very differently about that and think I'm weird for feeling that way. I guess that goes back to the individuality thing lol

It really changes depending on how I'm feeling about myself. Getting up out of bed in the morning, I think I'm probably a 6 or 7. But once I'm done with my hair and makeup I'm maybe an 8. I really just base that mostly on feedback from other people over time. How it's affected me? Well, it's made me more aware about the privilege that can come with attractiveness, which can be really awkward even when it's an otherwise beneficial thing for me. The worst thing is not being taken seriously when ta…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
