i mean thats whats they all say, but the general advice in this sub is that women and even men don't really know what they want. There's that popular saying that Ford said about the automobile - if you asked people back then what they wanted they would have said a faster horse.

I went out for the first time by myself before quarantine and went to a bar I've never been to. There were two guys just eating and drinking and I walked up to them and said hey I have a weird question. Is it cool if I join you guys because I'm here by myself trying to pick up girls and I don't want to sit alone. They were more than happy to let me join and we talked for over an hour about pickup. They gave me some tips and we swapped Instagrams so we could all go out together one night. My advi…

Nope. Nows the time for self improvement. Read more. Set goals. Meditate. Journal. Come up with a strategy for when Corona is over.

You have to find opportunity to touch her. Lightly hit her arm when you say something interesting or upbeat like you're emphasizing your point. Put your hand on her lower back as you're crossing the street. If she's wearing jewelry on her fingers, just grab her hands and observe her rings and ask her about them. Tattoos? Point to them, run your finger over them and ask about them. Grab her by the forearm and point to something to look at. Once you've gotten her used to touching you, then it won'…

It's essentially CBT with an emphasis on Cognitive Restructuring: Cognitive restructuring is a cognitive behavioral therapy exercise designed to help people examine unhelpful thinking patterns, and devise new ways of reacting to problematic situations. I think OP's post is well written though and lends itself as a great guide to helping others rather than dropping psychoanalytical jargon!

love this reply and perspective. I was speaking from personal experience, and having gotten in shape, even being bald and wearing fitting clothes but nothing fancy, I've noticed more girls looking up at me while just sitting in a coffee shop. OP of the comment wanted to know how to get more girls to look at him, and a visual based response was my first idea. I agree that getting in shape does wonders for confidence which will improve the way you walk, talk, react and respond to people, but I sti…

In few words... Get more physically attractive. You want girls to look at you? Be someone worth looking at. Hit the gym harder. People are shallow but looks do matter for initial attraction. Can't hit the gym or can't get in any better shape? Be in charge of something. Being in positions of power is attractive, so volunteer or host a meetup and be The Man that people want to meet.

Is that the guy who is in a room full of single women and asks them who should pay on a first date? They all collectively say men and he's basically like this is why you're single. That guy's my hero.

Are there any videos demonstrating this? It sounds all good and fine on paper but doing it naturally is a whole 'nother ball game

Carnegie knew some people couldn't be pleased though. He wrote this in an omitted last chapter of the book. Also his advice is for the salesperson mindset, not intending to be used on long lasting relationships. From the top amazon review... I think the reader should keep in mind the context within which this book was written. "How to Win Friends and Influence People" was written in the 1930's and intended primarily as a companion book to Dale Carnegie's classes on how to be a good salesman. In …

1. Speaking spontaneously One of the most important, hardest, and the one most people get stuck on we tend to over-analyze and think too much about what we want to say. you think so much about what you wanted to say that analyzing it makes it sound like a bad idea to say it. Next time you talk to close friends take notes on how that goes, you don't usually think painfully long about telling something of your interests, cranking out a joke etc. because it might offend someone right? it just happe…

The content was good however I missed how the terms inner and outer relate to it. I'm not familiar with the terms.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
