There's a pretty strict policy about linking directly to other subs on here, to avoid brigading the post. Also archiving snapshots allows the title of my post to stay relevant to the document presented.

Depends what kind of adultery you're talking about. Do you really think the government should be regulating all premarital sex, or just locking up cheating spouses? Would you rather live under Sharia law, where adultery is a capital offense, and with all the other regulations on moral behavior it comes with? Personally I think the government has no business in a moral issue, and people are always going to have sex regardless of the law since it's a instinctive drive to make more people. I think …

Hey, glad to see you explain yourself a bit better on here. I did not mean to misrepresent any part of your argument I simply presented the comments and gave my thoughts as to what they implied. Cuckolding is one that starts to border on the abusive, despite consent. It's never sat all that well with me. It tends to demean everyone involved. I was going to include something like this in the post but I figured it was distracting from my primary point. I'm actually relieved you see it that way. Bu…

How could you possibly know this? It's a general analogy for how high status woman generally don't date beneath their status, perceived or otherwise. It's not saying that Kate Winslet herself is necessarily hypergamous.

Since everything else has been hit on and nobody else pointed this out before: I'd say the bitterness towards marriage comes from insecurity they can't get the girl they want and maintain a healthy relationship like so many others do. The classic "All Terpers are just bitter socially awkward losers" ad hominem. For some men the grapes really are sour but are still in the process of looking for a way to have happy, fulfilling sexual relationships. The reason people turn to Red Pill is because it …

It's so blatantly obvious that I am beginning to become skeptical of this story. It's starting to read like some weird elliot rodger fantasy. I was starting to think this after this update as well. The story has a very similar ring to the mylifesuxnow saga with all the super detailed updates.

I already had a fairly Red view of relationship before I ever went on reddit or heard of r/trp. Read about ladder theory a few years back and it made sense to me. I never had a problem with attracting women but getting them to stay around was the hard part. After a relatively short relationship, though the longest in my life at the time, fell apart for no apparent reason, I was devastated and it weighed on me heavily for some time. Red pill theory had an explanation as to why (in short, abandoni…

It almost sounds like Red Pillers are actual people... But seriously, we all have our character blemishes- he sounds like a cool enough of a guy to bear hanging out with. I don't think it's intentional (you're legitmatley fascinated) but it sounds like you're trying to make an ad hominem argument.

If George Clooney walked in front of your apartment's door, while your girl was heading out after a "hot steamy" sex session with you, what would you think would have happened? Maybe I'm reading a bit too much into the hyperbole, but I don't think she'd ditch you to start going at it with him immediately. It's more important that she be able to maximize their sexual options without being perceived as a slut. What does happen all the time is a woman already lines up another provider boyfriend by …

I know it seems alien to people who haven't had the same problems with relationships but it works. I think this is a huge factor on which pill you choose to identify with. Many people have a natural knee jerk reaction to a pretty sensitive subject being fleshed out in the terms that RP uses since they've been fairly lucky in love and never thought about it like that before.

Honestly if there is a Red Pill party line on some things I don't agree with I don't care to follow it. I've taken the info as a whole and applied it to my life with very good benefit to it. I'm not one of those success stories/field reports of how I've radically changed because of it but it lets me make a lot more sense of my life and I'm happy with the general course it's lead me too. I guess I'm not a true Scotsman after all :p Edit: I'm just saying I don't advocate or agree with any particul…

I'm not really advocating that as a proper viewpoint. I do think it's not taking any responsibly for yourself and putting your happiness in the hands of others- which is exactly the opposite of the purpose of TRP. I was simply explaining that to the recently unplugged that's how it seems, and it's a mentality that needs to be pushed through with constant self-improvement and looking to yourself for fulfillment.

Ah, the typical "You're just supposed to like, know- you're just some socially awkward loser if you can't figure it out" argument. I feel like you're underestimating the amount of indoctrination social conditioning that goes on in modern society. From the Disney movies, the "just be yourself" dating advice, and the vilification of male sexuality by modern feminism has lead many men astray. Plenty of people have an easier starting point and inherently higher SMV than others. There are those bless…

I believe in the Red Pill description of sexual dynamics, yes. I don't know if I can claim to be fully "Red Pill" or not. We're pretty similar in that regard. Part of what drew me to RP views (before I ever went on Reddit) was simply wanting to make my relationships with women simply work. Looking back I had little trouble attracting women but keeping them around and interested was the hard part. I would consistently find myself being broken up with after getting too comfortable too early on in …

Ended up discovering/subscribing after reading that "Why TRP will leave you dead inside" post on r/emsk. When I read it seemed to be based in a pretty naive understanding of human psychology- the idea that we are more civilized than other animals and the notion that we have primal urges is totally foreign. It's easy to forget how different the means and ends of male and female sex drives are, and this is something that existed well before modern society began.

Meh. I just hasn't happened for me. Under the same logic do you not think it's possible that the reserve is true? That people are lied to and manipulated by their partners all the time, that people are both unaware or ignorant of their true intentions, that healthy relationship never spiral out of control? Not once?

This describes my old roommate perfectly. He ended up getting a crush on this girl and even went out with her a few times but he refused to make a move because he didn't want to "disrepect her" or "come off like a player". She eventually lost interest but he never took the hint and started lamenting to her over text/IM confessing his undying love and whatnot, further repulsing her and coming off like a total creep. I tried to give him some basic RP advice (this was before I discovered the sub) a…

That's not what I'm referring to at all. You can acknowledge the difference and work them out but that doesn't mean you're both on equal footing. Perhaps one of you makes more money than the other, has access to a different group of friends, or jobs off different levels. Communicating that is another matter entirely. And a matter of semantics- since your an anonymous person on the Internet, I have no idea if your relationship is real or not! As BPers love to say, anecdotal evidence doesn't count…

No relationship is truly egalitarian like that, romantic or platonic. Someone will always have some sort of control of the other person in one way and the other way around as well, and this can change over time. Having influence doesn't have to be abusive nor should it be. Anyways, I was asking if OP preferred to be dominant in her relationships because she'd rather "teach" an inexperienced partner than be controlled by another.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/15 08:05 PM

So in other words you'd prefer to be the dominant party of the relationship? Not suggesting it's a bad thing necessarily.

It's a TV show, they had a scene where a group of 7 year old girls at a birthday party gave this woman the same time frame verbatim to tell her she needs to get married sooner (and most of the children were married as well). Anyways you are indeed correct. You can talk about red pill in plenty of situations but if you want people to be receptive you can't label it as such or use the jargon we use here. In my experience people find it insightful when you make it easier to digest. Edited to clarif…

On a similar note OP is probably paying wayyyy too much attention to social media. When you compare the "behind the scenes" footage of your life it's never going to look as glamorous as the highlight reel of someone's Instagram.

Reading all the sexualities, genders, kintypes and whatnot that people come up with on Tumblr makes me think it's more an obsession with being "different" manifesting itself then any actual gender identity.

Maybe if they want to be the dominant party would they find this appealing, though if it wasn't presented in this PG-13 softcore porn setting his constant asking for permission would seem a lot less sexy.

You use that word oneitis, I do no think you know what it means. Having higher standards for the women you date is not the same thing as obsessing over a girl who does not feel the same about you to the point that it detrimentally impacts your self-esteem. Enjoying the intimacy and being happy with the woman you are dating even if she isn't a flawless Playboy model is not the same thing as pining over a woman who has expressed disinterest in you to the point where you can't function normally. Just to put it out there- can't the cuckold fetish be a bit broader than just the humiliation/cheating type? Like swinging or a more traditional MMF three way? I've seen some talk in /r/bsdm about how there's other, much safer outlets for seeing your wife get banged by someone else. Tl;dr- Is humiliation actually critical to a cuckold fetish?

You're having a fake penis stuck in your butt, I can imagine why some people would have an aversion to it or think that it's homoerotic.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/15 02:50 PM

That's probably because it's being used in the biological concept of being tricked into raising offspring that is not genetically yours instead of the fetish itself.

It's not really the focus of the sub so I've seen a broad range of opinions on the subject. As far as I'm concerned as long as you and you're partner(s) are getting off to whatever the heck it is and everyone's into it by all means, if someone else thinks it's "weird" it's just not for them.

Didn't even think about the similarities between the two before. Men will maximize sex without emotional bonds, women emotional bonds without sex. However I think some onus should be placed on the plate/orbiter to realize they are being had. I'd imagine in many situations the main party has no intention of leading them on and it is simply the naïveté of the other believing they can "win them over" that perpetuates the situation and the following emotional anguish.
