I'm agreeing with you on this; the 'ownership' for this debate lies on the wikipedia admin, he has full control over what goes on. Wikipedia admins are wikipedia staff/senior volunteers.

It's not big tech as much as it is a single very dedicated wikipedia moderator, and a group of academics with beliefs bordering on circumfetishism (Brian J Morris). Another poster here has the wikipedia moderator's article. It would take a very collected group of professionals (published MDs) and wikipedia veterans to stand a chance of ever editing this page.

Copy pasting this just in case it's helpful, take care! You do not need a full circumcision in 99% of phimosis cases, no matter how extreme. There is a much less damaging procedures called a dorsal slit, if your doctor has no idea what this is, find another doctor, in 2020 there really is no excuse. Good luck!!! Check out and ask around /r/phimosis for more info!

I understand how you feel, this kind of dysmorphia is becoming more common as people understand what's been going on. For some restoration helps, and the community here is one of the most welcoming on reddit. Best of luck with the mental healing, and know you are never alone in how you feel, your grief is completely valid.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
