Yes for sure causing fear of abuse would make one unpleasant to be around. Undeniably this is an issue. What I'm asking is, does this issue and issues like it really make men clearly more unpleasant than women to be around in general? Like is it the case that when you hang out with guys they just generally just give off unpleasant vibes and mess with your life more so than women? And they do the same to others, including their guy friends? Whereas women are just generally clearly all around bett…

These are other topics. I was not describing who is a victim, whom the system is built for, who has higher standards, or who has it easier dating. The topic was whether either men or women are clearly more or less "unpleasant" to others

You're talking about physical abuse specifically. We are not talking about whether one gender is physically more dangerous than the other, we are talking about whether one is more "unpleasant" than the other. There is also emotional abuse, bullying, narcissistic behavior, just general meanness, stubbornness, manipulation, a whole plethora of different ways one person can make another person's life unpleasant. So you are quite certain that everyone just has it worse from men across the board? Cer…

It goes both ways right? Everyone has experiences with toxic people. Men have experiences with toxic women as well. Women experience lots of bullying and drama from other women. I'm not sure how you'd measure that one gender is strongly more unpleasant than the other. It's quite a strong claim to casually throw about without very strong justification since it's blatantly sexist and insulting. Imagine if you saw a post online talking about all the things they don't like about women and saying tha…

I’m coming from a good place. I think a lot of men genuinely are unpleasant people The things you see online. Need mental detox after every couple of these threads lol

the grass isn't really greener on the other side, it's greener where you water it Probably the wisest thing I've heard this year. Thanks!

"we are confident that his penis will be perfectly OK again in three months" ... thats kind of amazing. I did not think it could reattach like that. Probably would not work for someone older (do not try this at home)

It is a coin toss from the point of view of a person that is writing the two sample paragraphs and wants to produce two examples: one male, one female, and one positive, one negative.

I was not commenting on the entire 379 page document, I was only commenting on the one page which was presented as evidence of clear bias.

There is no evidence of bias here. They included two examples, one of a positive relationship and one of a negative. They also included one father relationship and one mother relationship. It's a 50-50 chance whether the father or mother would get the negative relationship. Don't bitch about which way the coin flipped, this does not at all in and of itself denote any sort of bias. Furthermore, if you seriously thought that these two paragraphs indicate a bias, then you are unfit for rational con…

Well to be fair the guy is way bigger than the girl. To make this a fair test, when the girl is abusing a guy they should take a couple of actors where the girl appears obviously stronger than the guy. If the bystanders still laugh, then that is gender discrimination. As is though, one could argue the the public (reasonably) only comes to the defence of the victim when it seems that the victim is not in a position to physically defend him/herself. That's not gender discrimination per se. EDIT: l…

I have but "not even seen as human" is a bit of an exaggeration. "Slightly less valuable than women" is probably a better description, even if that theory has merit to it

For the most part we are not even seen as human. You may be getting overexcited there, buddy. Men are most definitely seen as human. Lets not get ahead of ourselves here and see problems that are simply not there.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
