Like we have an unequal relationship in which she gets emotional support (which is a normal thing since I provide emotional support for all my friends) and I get nothing Bro tip - they aren't good friends, or maybe you need to be more upfront about what you want from the friendship with them. If you think there is something you could be getting out of the friendship that you're not, try a little harder to get it. Otherwise, just ditch it or live with it I guess. In answer to your question, yes I…

You say that as though sexual philandering and false accusation of rape are more-or-less equivalent - she'll do one, why not the other? I don't think they're equivalent, but I think that the type of person that cheats might also be the type of person that would level a false rape accusation. In my mind, cheaters are untrustworthy. They can't be trusted not to cheat on their significant others, at least. It's not a stretch to say that an untrustworthy person might lie again - by falsely accusing …

The whole reason we have laws is so that we are not subject to things like this. First of all, we've got the court system to fight out disputes like this. If the courts are biased or the sentencing laws are fucked, that's an important issue, but I think it's a different one. The infrastructure to stop laws like this becoming an oppressive force exists - I doubt that it will ever be used to change the law though, because I think that these kinds of incidents will remain extremely rare and most of…

She feels she didn't give consent, now under this definition he is a rapist and she could prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law, completely destroying his life. Only the most fiendish of women would do that, dude. If you're in bed with someone that would prosecute you as a rapist over a simple misunderstanding about boundaries that was immediately cleared up... you fucked up way before you tried to stick a finger in.

I think you're just not very perceptive, but to be fair I guess that's a pretty good reason to worry about this stuff.

Mad truth to this... dunno about the "games" shit specifically but "maturity" when it comes to humor and fun is basically just having a giant stick up your ass as far as I can tell, and I'll have no part of it.

Say she says she has a boyfriend, isn't lying, she consents to an f-close, and then her boyfriend finds out? It could end badly Well no shit Sherlock. If the fact that she's cheating on her boyfriend doesn't raise any red flags about her personality for you, you're either stupid or willfully ignorant. After all, she turned on one guy - who's to say you're not gonna be next?

There's an incredibly surprising amount of fucked up people out there. Not only that, but regular people will do stupid shit just because they're pissed off or upset. I appreciate all of this but I still think that if you play a clean game this problem is way less of a big deal than you guys are making it out to be. Most women realize the horrible consequences a false rape accusation has for a guy and would never try and lay that on someone. Of course there's always a chance someone you'd never …

I threw a similar post on this when it got passed along to /r/seduction, but I'll say it again here... it's true that this probably could open a new way for people to level a false rape accusation against someone, but if you're honestly that worried about false rape accusations just because of this change in the definition of rape, you should probably reevaluate who you're sleeping with and how you're getting them into bed. Whether or not it's legally defined as rape, it's still sketch and you s…

If a woman hops on guy passed out for whatever reason, her envelopment still isn't rape. First of all, I don't think this is true at all. Second of all, how would that even work???

Man it's shit like this that makes people think you're all a bunch of creepy motherfuckers. Myself included. I'm sure the intoxication bit could be used to level a false rape charge against someone, but there are also situations where people are legitimately too intoxicated to be able to give or refuse consent - and there are sketchy motherfuckers out there that will take advantage of that. Honestly if you're that worried about getting hit with a false rape charge just because of this change, yo…

If the problem is something I can change, I try to change it. If the problem is something I can't change, I try to forget about it. If the problem is incidental (like getting cock blocked or getting led on or something), I rage about it for a little while, get it out of my system and then forget about it. Worrying never fixed anything dude, just change what you can and forget about the rest and you should be a lot chiller.

I've got a hat I wear out sometimes... its honestly nothing too fancy, but I notice that when girls like me they'll often either comment on the hat or take it off me to try it on themselves. Makes life a little easier, I guess.

The difference between the "AFC" nice guy and an actual nice person (or an asshole, for that matter) is that the "AFC" nice guy will treat other people with kindness not out of genuine altruism but with the implicit expectation that they will give him what he wants in return - in the relevant example, he is nice to a girl with the implicit expectation that she will have sex with him in return. That doesn't usually work, and that tends to lead him to the conclusion that he has to be a cold-hearte…

I meant more strong-arming than asserting your will over others I guess. I find most to be inexcusably rude. Dude I hate to go with something that's been said a million times already but I think you might wanna lighten up a little... a major sticking point with your social life might be that you're a little... Puritan? compared to your peers. If you really feel deeply about the things that make you different from your peers, by all means stick to them. If not, change to suit the norm a little be…

Dude bro man, I don't really buy into most of this shit either - not my style I guess - but I think you're doing it wrong. I simply can't take the advice that you should assert your will over others, assume and act as if you are the center of the universe and be a domineering prick. It is against everything I feel a human being should be. There's a big difference between "asserting your will" and strong-arming other people. I once thought more as you do but then I gradually realized that I wasn'…

I don't think its a good idea dude, not in the way you're thinking it is at least... My whole idea about the "friend zone" is that it's pretty much the same with friends as it is with any other girl. If you TELL them you like them without having SHOWN them in a normal manner, its gonna be awkward even if they're your friend. It usually comes as a surprise to her - I know guys have probably at least considered boning all of their female friends but I don't think girls are like that so you might n…

I'm actually kinda the same - my favorite way to meet new people is through friends. I like chillin at bars with my friends but I don't usually go there to meet new people, and I HATE clubs as a social venue, although I'll head out occasionally to hear some tunes. My question is more, do you guys think its good to stick closer to what you're best at, or is it worthwhile to try and broaden your range? I mean there are some things that just "aren't me," as the saying goes, but I feel like being co…

I improved my life and my mind and I became naturally more attractive Well no shit, I could have told you that... are there people that find this idea difficult to come to grips with? Easier said than done and all that but still, seems like kind of a blinding flash of the obvious to me

Joys of poverty, eh Anyways, you've got a few options, either save up a little money for a night out on the town including cab fare, go home early to catch the train or the bus, or like you said, crash at a friend's place. None of those are terribly attractive options but unless you start making more money that's pretty much all you got dude. Being poor sucks.

Which acronyms do you not feel are needed? I don't feel any of them are needed or unneeded - I don't know shit about how it all works besides what little I read in the sidebars. I was asking you guys if you feel like its an effective way to think and talk about "the game." At first glance it seemed like a gross oversimplification of something that's way too nuanced and complicated to be described in terms of acronyms and scenarios, hence the question. You seem to think that the acronyms are more…

I would call it an art as opposed to a science With you on that one dude It turns into a way you ended up changing your lifestyle dramatically So this is all some giant self-help scheme, then, and getting laid actually grows out of your self-improvement rather than having a scientific method for dropping panties? Interesting...

Yo dude, I sometimes get the same way especially if I've been smokin the reefer or something... anyways, here's my usual strategy if I'm stuck. Start with something trite and general like "What's your major?" Depending on what you get for an answer, do one of two things. Set yourself up to tell a story or share something about yourself, if you've got anything, like "Oh my friend Bob is a communications major too, do you know him? He lived in my dorm freshman year, some crazy shit went down that …
