I'm not bringing the focus to women. I'm taking the focus off of men. My point is to outline the fact that it is societal standards that are imposed and upheld by both men and women, so defining this problem as just a product of "toxic masculinity" is flat out wrong.

I find that sub really stupid. Disregarding the context of who it is, they blame toxic masculinity for this. Yes, there are men who attempt to say that men should always be strong but in my experience it’s mostly women who perpetuate it. Not to say that all women do it, not to call it toxic feminity: it’s outdated societal standards. It’s not the average mans fault, and yet they blame the average man: with his “toxic masculinity.”

For me, growing up I was a big fan of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s speech “I Have a Dream”.
