Pacific Island cultures actually kind of have an excuse though. Due to a result of a pseudo eugenics program carried out since the beginning of the peopling of the South Pacific Islands, they are literally genetically different from the majority of human beings.

The numbers are incredibly off. "Modern Humans" have existed for roughly 200,000 years, not 15,000. Humans first entered the Americas 15,000 years ago. Also humanity as a whole has never really been matriarchal in any sense, sure there are outliers with matriarchal tribe structure but none of those cultures have gone on to any sort of global relevance.
