I was stay at home dad for six years. It was lot more work than I thought it would be but far from the hardest job in the world. My wife at the time berated me several times a week for not having the house spotless or said I was phoning it in if I did not cook elaborate meals. As a man I was brought up to never act like that towards a woman. It was the only job I've ever had that brought any fulfillment to my life.

Well in my buddie's case they arrested him here in oklahoma and he had to ride a prisoner transport bus chained up for five days on a circuitous route back to Wisconsin. Where he was charged and convicted of a felony. He lost his waiter job because felons can work in establishments that serve liquor. All the while the child support kept adding up. He did the necessary paperwork and filed for reduction of his child support payments and was denied.

How can he get a lawyer on that amount of money? In Wisconsin if you fall behind 90 days it's a felony. With felony conviction you cant own firearm, cant work in a restaurant with a liquor license. Cant pass background checks. Some states even revoke the drivers licenses of "deadbeats" how are these men supposed to pay their child support when the criminal justice system has taken away their ability to find a job?
