I just filled up my college application for an MBA. I live in a pretty unprogressive country where the rule is you get married and have kids. Huge shoutout to the mods! I love this subreddit and recommend it to every woman I know. It’s the only place in this world telling us that we’re important and calling out misogynistic conditioning. In all the years I’ve been here I haven’t seen anything toxic. I’ve also only seen posts advising women to be vigilant or seen posts of example HVM. Oh and his inaccurate stats were some random study he picked up which says that 53% of reported rape cases were false in a state in India. When it was later revealed that most of the rape cases came from parents who didn’t want their daughter to marry against their wishes. So to the women that eloped, their family would literally file a false rape case to get the daughter back.

I just realized that when I used to go around telling people “I have a high tolerance or I’m really patient” in my early 20s it was just a shit way of not confronting the truth that I would rather be in a terrible relationship than be single. Smh. At least now (I hope) I know better!
