Does reading books help ? I find it boring. I have never read a book (just study materials).

If you put it like that, I would date someone like myself because I'm a good person. Though not much attractive I'm okay looks wise, might need to work on that but I'm lazy and make excuses so I'm like this. Also how do you exercise with confidence ? Didn't understand that analogy.

I struggle with confidence. I just don't think i can pull anyone. I don't understand how some ppl are so confident that they can get anyone. I think "Why would anyone fall for me?" "What do I have ?"

Yea same. I get attached or obsessed with girls (and guys too) easily. Sometimes after looking at a girl a few times i get obsessed that i keep getting thoughts of her. Or if she's around me and I've talked to her a few times I'll get attached to her and would look forward to more interactions and might feel sad if those interactions don't happen or if they interact with other ppl. Idk what's wrong with me.

It's bound to happen. You see I'm not focusing on dating (cuz I'm not ready or don't see myself as a bf material plus some cultural reasons)... In all I want to be friends or acquaintances, that way i can get better at communicating and interacting with them. Also idk what is 'proxy bf'.

Well it's ok idc about date... if i just get to be friends I'm ok

I do it cuz i like being a good guy and don't like disappointing others much. This might look like a bad behavior but this is just who I am.

What if a guy is being nice just because he wants to be friendly without any ulterior motives maybe like a ppl pleaser (cuz I'm kinda like that)

So not having female friends is bad ? I'm a guy and i think i don't have female friends...(I may have acquaintances or classmates) and I'll admit I'm kinda nice guy but i don't do it cuz i have any ulterior motives... ig it's because maybe I'm a people pleaser or i genuinely want to help someone.

Yeah compromising and adjusting can help some situations. But i guess we should look after ourselves too and should think about ourself before others...

Yes I agree. Sometimes I feel like It'll make me happy if others are happy regardless of what happens with me. But I guess I shouldn't be harsh on myself.

Thanks. I'll do something about people pleasing thing. Also I'm trying to workout at my room but i lack continuity and discipline. I'm lazy and want quick results with less efforts which is impossible... ahh i complain a lot.

Oh i have never heard of Tonka bean oil. So you mean i use it as a cologne... ? I'll try searching where to find it. Yes i do expect to get rejected (do i have to think/hope that I'll get accepted too ? Or just keep thinking that I'm bound to get rejected ? Hah that'd be too much negative i guess.) Yea i do wonder that every person is kind of superficial and shallow and wants to show good things about them. No one wants to show their flaws. So does confidence comes just like that from within ? What do ppl think about someone who would sacrifice himself or his feelings or happiness for others just so that everything becomes right or everyone is happy ... like a peaceful environment ?

So from these three.... I might be good at communication. I can listen what the other has to say and give my opinions or thoughts on various things being kept on the plate. I like deep conversations. On account of confidence... i don't see myself as a confident guy. I give a lot of fucks about what everyone is thinking about me or will think if i do this or that. I'm kinda a people pleaser and constantly want others to think good about me and when i disappoint someone or someone thinks I'm a bad…

What's up with ppl having sex before getting married ? Don't you get worried that when you'll marry someone and they are not virgin it'll be bad that they had sex with someone before you or they got around before marriage ? Which country you guys live ? Why isn't it possible here ? Sigh I wish i was born in a western country. You guys have it so much easy and fun there.

Ok bro i got you. I was just like you till 2 years ago. I didn't interact with girls before that. When I entered college i was keeping a distance with girls. But one day our seat numbers were allotted and miraculously a girl was a number before me. At first I didn't say a word and we didn't talk the entire lecture (we were sitting beside each other). Then as time went on she started initiating conversations telling me "Hi" "How are you" "Good morning" etc. I just responded back whenever she said…

No man I'll not agree on the part "You talk to girls as you talk with guy friends" cuz with guys we talk with curse words and some topics like adult stuff, sex etc which cannot be introduced when conversing with a girl. You have to be polite and not let these things slip into it. Basically you have to modify how you interact. It's not completely different but slightly different. Also idk about the touching part. Do you touch your female friends ? Sorry for this. I do have female friends but I ma…

Are you just dating ? Do ppl try to have sex before marriage ? I'll assume you're from western country. Anyways I feel bad for you bro. Maybe try to relax. Don't get tense. I'm in no position to give advice here tho 😅.

I'm just like you. I think it's because of our low confidence and low self esteem. I personally ignore girls because I'm sure nothing is going to happen on a long term between us so I just quit. Maybe try texting. Texting can be easier than talking in person cuz you're in your room and don't have to look at her. I too prefer texting as I'm comfortable with it. As time will go you'll get comfortable with talking to her. Or maybe give up. Imma be brutally honest here sorry : Think what will happen…

You don't need to learn how to seduce a guy. Just look at him in flirty ways and done. Guys are desperate for attention (or atleast i am)

I do have self respect but may have low self esteem

I think i can relate to you kinda. It maybe because we aren't elevating the conversations. Throwing in some teases or flirty comments or slight touch may help getting them laugh and becoming interested in you. Other thing which I've been told is to be mysterious. Girls like guys who are mysterious. So don't tell everything about you and keep some mysteries. It'll make them seek you. Also I think you should try making some plans like "Hey you know about this new cafe here ? Yeah let's go check it…

Damn i too want some advice. My voice is hoarse and it sounds weird. It's like "corpse husband lite" voice. Also my adam's apple is out. Does that have to do with it ?

When you put it that way, I don't feel the regret about not approaching a girl. I feel rather calmed that "Good i didn't approach". Plus approaching doesn't mean anything. My mindset is that "It doesn't matter you approach a girl, it's not that we'll get into a relationship. And even if we get into one there's no guarantee we'll get married. In the end I'll get 'arrange married' to someone without even doing anything." Yeah shitty mindset ikr.

For me, approaching a stranger is easy if they're a guy (of any age) or old ppl. I only get awkward or shy around girls of my age range. I think of what they'll feel about me approaching them. How miserable or creepy or desperate i might look. Or how disgusted they'll be to even look at me. (I think i might have low self esteem but I'm reasonable/realist and can't lie to myself that "I actually look good/average).

I agree with this guy. Don't give up easily and get your hopes down. There'll be plenty of chicks to come. Personally I'd say that smoking is bad for your health but your choice whatever you prefer.

There's a confusion in my mind : On one hand I'm getting advice of : changing myself, getting confident, improving And on other hand i get : "Don't change yourself for someone", "Just be yourself", "Don't pretend to be what you're not" So what to do ? Ppl say this ppl say that Also thanks for your advice on becoming confident. I personally feel comfortable with sitting with crossed legs rather than spreading and taking much area but that's just my preference. The things i should work on to gain …
