Won’t do anything. Victoria hasn’t actually banned men changing nappies, just Victoria-based, private childcare, Inspire. Still discriminatory, but not governmental.

Sure, “good man” means a man who is a “good person” to me, the same as it does to you. I think men and women make the judgement over who is “good” differently, but they mean the same thing when they say it - that the person has a good character.

I agree with you. Issues should be talked about, and neither men nor women are without them. It’s sad when people think that talking about one group’s issues means that you think that a different group has none. Those women who behave in an aggressive “hate all men” kind of way aren’t improving things for anyone. They can see that men who do the same in reverse aren’t helping, it shouldn’t be too much of a leap to see that they aren’t either. And the people reading might see it even if the parti…

Not sure if you didn’t realise, I’m not the same user that you were responding to before. I haven’t been speaking for other demographics. You implied that lesbians would be able to compare their female-female friendships with the friendships between heterosexual men and women. Would bi people not also be able to compare then? They also have sexual and romantic interest in women. The OP was about having female friends as someone who is interested in dating women.

But there are so many non-gendered experiences that you can share or have in common. I have a lot that I talk with my male friends about, from travel to games to food, schooling, politics, religion, news, shared hobbies etc. I’m sure there are things they feel more comfortable talking about with their male friends, but that’s to be expected and doesn’t make us not friends. The same in reverse, there are things I wouldn’t talk with my male friends with but would with my female ones. That accounts…

The point of having a friend is having a friend.

I’m bi, should I have no friends?

Yep! What’s your answer?

Awww, was your insult just a joke? Sounds like someone can’t handle being called unpleasant when they’re being unpleasant.

Well that was unnecessary and rude. Says a lot about you that you’d rather be insulting than engage in a conversation. Also, you must not work with or have any children lol. Or if you do, you don’t pay attention to them, because a 10yo might be able to make it but no 6yo has that kind of fine motor control.

Would you prefer to be the recipient of degrading rough anal sex then or not? It’s better than nothing after all.

That’s fair. I think material possessions can definitely be a draw, but most women I know are decent people (as are most men) and would find the deadbeat dad side of things a turn-off. And yeah, a shit car isn’t going to add to your attractiveness and may even decrease it if the person is shallow but plenty of men who can’t afford nice things have girlfriends or wives, otherwise poor people would never be in a relationship. I know my experience is only one of many and not going to convince you, …

Do you find deadbeat fathers more attractive? Why? Because I don’t and never have.

I’m in the same boat as the other commenter. I’m taller and more wealthy than my fiancée and his character is the reason I’m with him. I’ve even been the sole income earner in our household. What attracts you in women?

I am a woman both taller and richer than my fiancée, who I love because of his character. I am also not an example of a woman who broke the mould. The generalisation you’ve used applies to some women, sure, but not enough to make it worth using.

Everyone does this to an extent though. When dating we all start by putting our best foot forward, making sure to dress our best, spending time doing activities with our potential partner, etc. My fiancée and I haven’t changed as people that much since we started dating, but the versions of each other that we share now are very different from both of our presentations originally. Neither of us go out as much, we see each other looking much more laid-back, we see each other in all of our moods, n…

Yeah, we all need a vent from time to time. I hope you find the help you need and a partner that you can be happy with.

It’s interesting to me as a woman, reading what you’ve written, I think that these women you’ve felt a connection with haven’t felt one back. Not necessarily that they’re “barrelling through tons of guys”. You come across as bitter because you’ve been hurt, but you also come across as a bit entitled. When I was dating (never on apps tbf), I treated guys like human beings even if I wasn’t interested. But if you give off the same energy in real life as you are now on Reddit, I’d have avoided you l…

Yeah, if I’d been talking to him when I was single and got a whiff of that attitude I’d have read it as a massive red flag and avoided. It feels really aggressive and like he doesn’t care about who you are aside from your gender. Thinking that having to have your life together is a male-only problem and that women owe you something if you do is the same kind of energy that a guy who doesn’t let you pay for dinner but then pressures you for sex because he paid would have. Not saying he would be l…
