Do you really believe that I really believe he's being harassed and catcalled? Or are you not yet acquainted with sarcasm and humor as a mode of communicating a particular feeling about a thing or person? Everyone doesn't always spoon feed what they mean to the reader. The underlying implication is that through layers of nuance, one can communicate the varying aspects of one's experience of something by setting it against an obviously ridiculous backdrop. Instead of outright saying I'd really li…

This man said "parse"... I burst out laughing. Is it really that bad when women approach, for you? I can feel a push from women. I'm still way too shy to try anything until I know for certain but, maybe I can feel the push because I'm a woman or because that's what I'm always looking for.

Is there a such thing? Also, does it include raunchy sex? If so, I'm down.

I forget that nuance gets lost in text. By hypermasculine, I'm talking about his body. Broad muscular back, big hands, all the facial hair.

Wow. This was very simple and straight forward. I am very much like what you described. Everything makes me anxious and I have to push myself to perform basic tasks involving others. People make me nervous. I assumed this had to do with my upbringing but, maybe not. Maybe he is shy. I've kind of hung it up, now, though. My assumption is that it's a game. This is insightful though. Still the same stuff as when I was younger.

Women and men who build harems are narcissists. All pretty women aren't narcissists. No, absolutely do not orbit but, absolutely find a way to bond with people who share your same interests regardless of whether or not you think she's so attractive she's getting all the attention.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/19 05:14 PM

That sounds kind of mean. What if the girl is genuinely interested in you? You've gotten her attention, absorbed some personal fuel from it and then discarded because you don't really need her. This is exactly the thing I fear about this guy and is one of the reasons I asked this question. I think you actually confirmed for me my suspicions. His ego or a bit of its buffer is sitting somewhere in the minds of the women he can attract. If he'd have gotten me to approach, he could've taken my ungua…

Ok. I'm doing hourly work so, there's not really a problem there. Us at the bottom take what we can get. I've not seen myself in action in a long time so I can't say whether I'd care that my partner's earnings have to match or be greater than my own. I know it's late but, I'm still building. I'm most interested in teamship. Can this person agree with me to complete something together and then implement to completion with little to no emotional overhead? That's what I really want. If the person a…

Don't you suppose that positive personal bias is just a human attribute? Don't you think your own supposition about your statement is true? Are you a man? If so, do you think you are not a catch? I would assume everyone thinks they're a catch unless they have self esteem issues. Also, how are you going to sell a product you, yourself wouldn't buy? Would you date a woman who sees no relationship value in herself?

Oh, I'm absolutely insecure. In fact, I overcompensate in many ways. My GPA is everything, in spite of revealing my abs I still feel my body isn't good enough so I work out like crazy and have a crazy restrictive diet. This is the first time in my life that so many people of so many age groups and both genders have shown me attention (attraction to me) and I still feel like I'm shamming them or that they haven't gotten close enough to see just how unattractive I really am. I am absolutely insecu…

At the time, posting this, I really did want him that bad. However; I did not initiate this. He did. Petty as it seems, if you start it, you should really start it. What I could read from this, though is that he is circumventing accountability should things go awry. I would absolutely put money on it that his modus is to draw people in, involve them and when things go wrong play like he has no role in it. When I want a girl, if I can get her attention, the moment I have a perceived window of opp…

Do you really believe that I really believe what I wrote in the first paragraph?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/19 04:44 PM
1

Hmm. Maybe that is a factor. I never considered whether or not I want to be hit on. Here's a good question: Is it ok to ask a work partner out for dinner or to hang out? I don't think I want some guy stepping up to me with a "Hey, baby. What that _____ do?". But, it's certainly not harassment to say "Me and a couple of friends are out for drinks Friday. Want to come along?"
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/19 04:44 PM
1

What? This is weird. The women I've known who just step to guys seem to really only want one thing and keep it moving. Neverthemore, personal experience isn't necessarily representation of all the data. So, where are you getting your data from?

/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/19 04:37 PM

This is insightful. I've always thought most men cold approach and have always admired this but, I think it's probably a poor judgement on my part. I think people have to warm up to one another, in any capacity and that it's optimal to get a foot in the door before actually stepping up. Holy shit, I kind of feel that I'm contradicting my own statements about the guy, though. I feel that if he initiated all of this then he shouldn't really have an issue just approaching me. Even small talk that h…

LOL...I wonder what the issue is anyone would have with MGTOWs...I, genetically cannot be one but, I assume for those guys it's worth a try. Also, if MGTOWs are fantasizing about me, hey...they may learn a couple of things about their own sexuality. Nothing wrong with that.

I'd love to be a man. My only concern is that maybe men's orgasms aren't as powerful as those for women. But, yeah...I'm almost a man. I have men's clothing, men's mannerisms...a bit of a butch lez. So, yeah. Thanks for the compliment.

Yeah, I don't know if he's single. He can't possibly be single. I really don't think...no, all the signs, to me, say someone is, at the very least, claiming him. But, that's all parallel data...correlative data...like, he has a full time job in a warehouse, decent car, worrisome convos on the cell at lunch from time to time...must be a girl/guy (who knows?).

I was just being humorous. It's weird that you actually took that seriously. The statement is more of a description of my own feelings of how attractive I think he is and I used those words to fully express exactly how ridiculous my own feelings about him are. I can only assume that maybe you are still pretty young and can't yet read into the implicit messages communicated in text or otherwise because it's going to hurt your intellectual reputation in the future.

I think, just stay close to the truth. Like, there are many people on dating apps that aren't very attractive. If someone's first impression of you is found out to be a lie, that destroys everything. People are ok with you not being attractive. That's fine. Unattractive people (of course, I'm being subjective with the term "unattractive") find relationships just fine and do pretty well on or off apps. I remember back in the old days when chat lines where a thing (via telephone). I met a woman wh…

Doesn't the same thing happen in male circles? Or, isn't it true that men tend to "hide" the women they don't want their friends to shame them about? I think this is just a common thing. Probably similar to the quality of any other thing of value one might hold. Your friends might just as well be mean to you for driving a volkswagon cash vehicle even though the four of you are high paid doctors with your own practices. I don't think this phenomena is specific to this topic. Humans are group cent…

Ok. Your argument for the gynecologist is valid. What about the coach? What about personal trainers? And if it's purely philosophical then, who can determine the proper way to do it? If nobody then, everyone has valid input.

You don't have to be a basketball player to be a good basketball coach. You don't have to be a fish to raise a school of them. You don't have to be a stalk of corn to grow a successful maze. You don't have to be Picasso to teach good, useful, expert art techniques. Sometimes, even a man can get a good tip about manhood from a woman, vice versa. Aw, the old "I'm justified in pointing and laughing because you're too stupid" technique. Great for when you want to double down on your position without having to do the hard work of articulating a compelling point and engaging intelligently in discourse with those who hold an opposing view. Well, every group has it's crazy guy. That's why politics are so hard to discuss; both parties point out the other party's crazies and we can't get past that. I know I saw one video where the MGTOW was on his motorcycle but, he was just like talking about how women were just there for sex. Like, he really sounded angry and vengeful. Ok. That's reasonable. It's insightful and I'm happy you still connect with women on some level. For me, connecting with men is sooo important, especially lately in my life. It is very toxic. I have trouble with women, too. For instance, if I'm attracted to you, I get excited about it and I demonstrate that. For whatever reason, it's a turn off for a lot of women. I'm assuming they want someone to always play it cool. This is terrible, though. Because 4 months into that relationship, she'll be crying that the person who never really showed interest isn't really showing interest. I wouldn't really throw in the towel though. Ok, so this is a good and thoughtful response. Yes, it is thrilling to take chances. You are right, convertibles are more fun than hard tops and motorcycles are more fun than convertibles. This is where I have concerns in the context of sex. Let's say a guy is thinking it's just a game of "pretend nonconsent"; a bit more intense but, maybe she's really playing the part. She presses charges. His entire life changes; especially in this era. He genuinely thought he had consent. What if knowing that…

LOL. You and I have common resentments. Cheers to that. You know, I guess the story isn't entertaining without some over-the-top plot but, we also end up taking lessons from those stories. I had some r/nicegirl years and...boy...I mean, that's kind of all I knew, though; that my kindness should grant me access to sex or that I should find some kind of way to impress a woman I wanted and that would persuade her to finally see me for the amazing counterpart I can be. Umm...that may be true. I've seen women play coy. I'm wondering if I've every played coy. Thinking back, if a couple of people would've tried harder, I probably would have given them a chance at dating (not sex) so, maybe that is a part of the culture. I can see how this could be a problem, though. Leaving things up to interpretation can do more harm than good, imo. Especially, with sex. Hmm...I want to be thoughtful about my response to this... We kind of grew up in an era where many of us were influenced by unrealistic hollywood/sitcom stories. There's this super insidious idea that a potential lover will just "get" you and understand you without your making the effort to take initiative and translate who you are to the other person. I remember, in my youth, having the fantasy that someone would just read me and just KNOW I want them by the way I behave around them and how ner…

To me, if you do something that may invalidate a future decision then, you may be propping yourself up for something serious. Not a rape apology but, I think it's always just good to look out for your credibility should something not so thrilling occur. I have no idea how to advise men on this sort of thing, though. Be…

Ok, so, lemme go ahead and contribute. So, we need marriage to sort of make a person a legal extension of our immediate family; our next of kin when necessary. This is important because if you build assets with somebody, you don't want your couch riding, mooch brother to be rewarded with them if you die...you, also, may not want him making funeral arrangements. It kind lays a contractual groundwork that gives that partner familial privileges and those can be very important. However, yeah, people…

If we generalized this question to some more underlying implication, I think you are asking if deceit is ok. Deceit is ok. In fact, natural human bonding, etc, require some amount of deceit. For instance, no one wants to know if your hemorrhoids are acting up when they ask 'how are you doing'? Why do I bring this up? Because deceit is also expected when addressing one's appearance and, especially, when attracting a mate. So, for instance, even if you are interviewing for a job in a dirt factory,…

Ok. Some things, I think I might agree with. Yes. I do think there are women who assess their sexual value or attractiveness over time and do have to reevaluate themselves. I, honestly, think this is more a problem for women who have spent most of their youth as a very attractive person. So, though there are those who would argue me on this point, I think I'm ugly. What changed was my actual confidence. I built myself into the kind of woman that I love and adore. This led me right on into your o…

The ex of a friend of mine for example started dating him at 22 (he was 28) and they were both on the same page regarding being childfree. Let's start here. If you are the same person at 28 that you were when you were 22, something is wrong. This is why it is very important, IMO, to try and avoid women in their younger 20s after a certain age because they are still in that age range where 5 - 10 years can yield a significant change in behavior. I want you to imagine a 22 year old woman and, in y…

Oh, no! The more of this article I read the more...terrified I am. What has happened to this author? Does he believe a woman equates herself only to her capacity to have children? Does the author also believe that young women wouldn't be ignorant about love and relationships as these are learned skills through trial and error? I don't know that a woman can't just make the decision to evaluate her past behaviors and grow. At age 23, the human brain isn't completely developed but, somehow, young w…

To be fair, I haven't read this entire article but, I need to address certain premises the article is built on: It assumes that all women had an attractive phase in life:I'm 37 and this is the most confident and sexually attractive I've ever been in my life. I have to argue against this. This may be a cultural thing or it may be the case that men cared for by their enthusiastic partners aren't too forthcoming about this. I've, very often, seen women go nuts financially over men, to include purchasing vehicles, clothes, cologne, etc...all the things one would expected a well monied man to do for a woman.

I have a theory that compatibility is everything. I believe we naturally fall out of love with our partners eventually and during that dry period, it is the convenience of the relationship and the compatibility that holds a couple together. I think, over time, a new bond is created. This is the long term bond where, if you spent that dry period constructively, you will find insurmountable value in your partner; the "love you for you" part of it. I'm a woman. I'm a lesbian. I can still say that I…

When learning a new skill such as guitar, a person must make a conscious effort to correct their natural pattern. This must happen repeatedly until the new pattern is mastered. If we were not capable of free will, this would be an impossible feat. Saying someone is far better at understanding it than me is analogous to the "mysterious ways" deity argument. It is a very simple way to opt out of admitting not knowing how or why something is the way it is or has occurred or is concluded while still…

I think, to some degree, you are right. I've recently concluded that no one should marry for or out of love. Compatibility is everything; the love will eventually come. I think, and this is only conjecture, that people absolutely fall OUT of love and there isn't a thing you can do about it. The only thing left in that moment to save the relationship is compatibility. If all or most logical components fit, then the emotional drive and motivation to continue on doesn't necessarily have to be prese…

I think I'd like to take a look at this study. Here are some key missing factors: Brain activity for any given action occurs in multiple places at once. How did they determine which parts of the brain where responsible for conscious decision making? Without making a conscious effort, we are not capable of mastering new things. For instance, if we always defaulted to the natural patterns in our minds, no one would ever learn to play guitar or the lyrics to a new song.

My best friend is a man and most of the people with whom I have to build and stabilize my life with are men. In fact, I find that I'm more bonded with men than women. I don't know that we are all that similar but, I do find that common behavioral components in my male counterparts give me a sense of balance. I love the things about them that are inherently male/masculine (even in the old school non progressive sense). Strangely enough, I have better chemistry with men than I do women. Now, again…

I think, in this case, it looks like maybe you are not finding compatibility. Maybe, being capable of attracting many women through strategy, etc, has taken the filters off that could otherwise serve to help you gather the insights about your own needs and the needs of others you would like to fulfill. Sex is great and I simply am not capable of what you can do, so it's always fascinating to hear about someone just picking up girls like that however; it looks like there is a cost for everything.…

I would say, I've been the niceguy/orbitor and, in no way was the girl stringing me along, I was just always fishing for a sign and I would take any little act of kindness or friendship as a potential open door. Much later in life I learned that people are enthusiastic about the people they are interested in, there are no subtle signals, and if the signals are subtle it's a deliberate attempt at manipulation. If it isn't obvious and consistent, it is most likely imagined or malicious.

No, the real solution for men's woes is to just find a woman that is attracted to him enough that she affords him more liberties than she would a man that she is not attracted to. Your argument kind of lacks logic. What would you think of a woman who would allow all men to cross her boundaries indiscriminately?
