MMA, he's got quite a history as an amateur MMA fighter, has a mean spinning heel kick too.

I've been a lurker here for a while now, I don't go out (and haven't in a long time) because I'm poor, fat and ugly. Right now I am focusing on working on those things before I even bother, and I know it's repeated often that fatness/ugliness isn't a death sentence for me but not being able to afford it at the moment trumps that anyways. So until I get my life turned around I lurk here, reading and internalizing until I can actually start getting out.

I'd generally advise to not go below 30 but then again some younger women may like older guys, once you're both past 35 or so, no one really cares about the age difference. Who knows, you might meet some 60 year old woman who blows your mind (among other things).

Ironing makes a huge difference, you can probably wear a lot of the shirts you wear now if you just iron them, for shoes, a nice pair of dress shoes, not necessarily anything name brand, is your best bet. In fact if you can find some small independent shoe maker and tell them about your situation and what you're looking for, you might be able to get something custom made. It can also be a great topic of conversation if the woman you're talking to mentions your shoes, spoiler: women have a tenden…

Middle aged dudes actually, in a lot of ways, have it easier. Women in their late 30s and onward who are still single and looking generally have fairly lowered expectations for a mate (unless they have something worthwhile to offer, ie wealth/milf-ness) just being a nice guy who is okay looking and reliable is all you need. You don't need to feel discouraged about your possibilities either, there are plenty of hot 30-50 year olds.

The commonly cited advice is to dress 5-10% better than the other guys, just enough to make you stand out but not enough to look like a douche (although peacocking is a whole different ball of wax). So if everyone is dressing fairly informally you don't have to do much to compete.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
