Wife filed and have son-in-law lawyer not practicing but corporate counsel and not licensed in my no-fault state. FL has a model Simplified Divorce Statute. No lawyers unless minor children. . I am terminating lawyer tomorrow. Interviewed two other firms and received more info in first free hour than from Firm I paid $16,000 to already.. I did not follow my gut as senses are off but you guys got me on course! !Thank you

Thank you for response and yes we adopted together, one at birth and one at 18 months. I would like her to include them in my daughter’s family after I am gone. They all grew up together and all was great until wife decided she would have more “purpose” taking care of grandkids. Not a legal thing really and either she will or won’t. She spoiled them terribly against my wishes. Her brother told me to take the checkbook away as she did money and I worked. I screwed up badly by not following his ad…

The Guardian Ad Litem is an excellent idea. My wife left us and the hardest thing for me is the hurt on our two adopted young legally adult children. Thank you and everyone who responded. Most grateful for any support and advice.

After 45 year marriage and fifty years together my wife simply leaves to be with birth daughter and our two young grandchildren to be the Granny/Nanny.
