What about when the wife stays home to take care of the kids and doesn’t have income? That’s a joint decision. She doesn’t have income so she should get nothing when they divorce?

So it fucks women over. Got it.

It’s your parents house owned by a trust. The courts can’t/won’t force them to sell. Doesn’t she know they own it? You’re acting like she doesn’t know that.

This just isn’t true. I know a few guys that go after married women because they don’t want strings attached.

This is spot on.

I assume you make more? The person that makes more is always responsible for more of the expense.

Point 2 is spot on. Get off the internet and stop letting that shit seep into your brain.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 03:33 PM

The way you said they are “dodging accountability” is you justifying it.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/25 04:06 PM

*lose
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/25 01:37 PM

Holy shit. You compare it to shoplifting and then justify the theft too? You probably need to talk to someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/25 01:31 PM

I’m a man. You don’t need to manipulate and lie. That’s some weird mental hoops you’re jumping through to justify shitty behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/25 01:27 PM

Bingo. Basically stop being a creepy asshole about it.

That’s not my experience with my wife.

I’ve been remarried for over a decade. There are plenty of good women out there.

Mine did too. I thought I would be broke but found myself with a surplus every month. It was quite nice.

If your wife was fucking another dude would you just say it’s your fault because she was depressed and you weren’t there for her?

Never forgive her for not forgiving him is some mental gymnastics

Divorce Care was incredibly helpful for me.

I did a group called Divorce Care that was hosted at a local church. It was huge for my mental health and moving forward to just know I wasn’t alone.

You also don’t want to put the kids on the middle of you can avoid it.

That’s not failing. That’s what good friends should be for. We all need support.

That sounds awful outside of one aspect. 20 year olds are dumb as hell.
/r/Divorce_Men26/05/25 12:55 PM

Glad you’re still here. Your boys are too. I know the intrusive thoughts all too well but my son kept me on the right path. You’re right that we all need to do the work to be someone that is able to be loved by someone else. That’s the hard part.

Anyone that uses that term is not an alpha.
/r/Divorce_Men18/05/25 03:14 PM

This is sadly true. Abuse victims struggle to find healthy relationships. It’s hard for both parties.
/r/Divorce_Men18/05/25 03:13 PM

It gets better. After my divorce I met someone and got remarried to a wonderful woman. I finally ended up getting into therapy and it helped so much with marriage and relationships with my kids. Do the work and good things come from it.
/r/Divorce_Men18/05/25 03:11 PM
6

This is 100% accurate. Abuse warps minds and people act in ways they normally wouldn’t out of fear or as a trauma response.

How so? Women like sex. Some dudes are bad at it. What part of those statements is false, let alone white knighting? I’m really confused why I’m being downvoted to begin with.

Especially if you are good at it. I’ve heard a lot of horror stories about men that are just in it for themselves and don’t care about her pleasure. It’s amazing how much they want you when you take care of them too.

Your representation of what people of faith do or do not do is incredibly narrow. Not everyone “of faith” is a Mennonite or old school southern Baptist as you describe.

I don’t know about that. It worked for me quite a bit in college.

It’s not that hard when you think about it. Hell, if you hook up with two people a week that you puts you at 104 for the year. Four years of college and one year of partying after puts you there.

In the video the judge said he cheated on her. She clearly cheated on him too if the kid isn’t his. But I don’t think she has the self-awareness to get that fact.

I have step kids and thankfully my wife has a great job and she gets child support from the ex so expenses aren’t really an issue for us. However, I can definitely see your point. One other frustrating thing to note, when I get upset with my son he may be mad at me but he still loves me. When I get upset with a step kid they view me as just the asshole stepdad. There isn’t the same level of inherent trust and love.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen07/08/19 08:50 PM

Stepparents only have whatever power the bio parent gives them. It’s a thankless job because you will never really be “dad” yet you still have to deal with all of the drama that comes from being a parent.

I asked the question for a simple reason. You say single mothers are the worst of the worst. If you are pro-choice then you view it as their choice to have the kid. If you are pro-life then the minute Chad gets them pregnant they become scum because we do he isn’t sticking around. Just trying to understand your thought process a bit better. At the end of the day it takes two to make a kid. If the father chooses to not be a part of the kids life then they are scum also.

No kids so family court isn’t an issue but I’m appalled by his last sentence. How can he even consider “accepting” it???

That’s wild. I have 50/50 so I pay a reduced amount. I still pay because I have a higher income than my ex but it was adjusted based on custody. This is in Missouri but the way I understand it is that is normal with true joint custody. I was told that it was a judges discretion item though but my ex agreed to it so the judge didn’t say anything.
