Maternity leave isn't just for the child, but also for the mother to recover from her pregnancy and delivery. Those three months of leave may allow her to get back into working condition, or allow the child to grow and develop enough for other options aside from round-the-clock care to become available. 3	A New Sexual Revolt Is Underway at British Universities; some male students are refusing to attend their university’s sexual-consent classes, and I reckon this could be the first salvo in a sexual uprising against the gender-studies prudes now running (and ruining) student life I'm currently a student at Cambridge, the university that the article claims has compulsory consent classes. This isn't true, at least not in my college (the universities is divided into colleges which operate as autonomous entities for the most part). The consent class at my college wasn't compulsory; people were just enticed to go by the promise of free burgers!
