Love that. May have to steal that idea from you.

Could you elaborate on that? Not the most familiar with Peterson’s work, apart from his “man up and start a family” sentiment

I REALLY want to like the rational male. But I can't get past the fact the dude is married. Totally ruins the book for me, despite it being full of good information

“Your depression isn’t self induced” More people need to hear this. Thank you.

Do you have a source for this quote? Not seeing it anywhere with a google search.

This right here. Attempting to control is incredibly needy and weak behavior. Whether she goes or does not go is the least of your concerns - if she wants to cheat, she'll find a way to cheat regardless of whether or not you "let" her go out.

Thanks for the comment. This also goes back to a previous comment of listening to their actions rather than words. Her actions are completely in line with being receptive to my behavior. I passed the shit test technically, as I didnt respond when she said this. I failed in the sense that Im overthinking it and letting it affect me.

Sounds like a good way to get yourself a public nudity/indecent exposure charge. Why not just take her home?

Good mentality dude, keep it up. a lot of people lack self-respect after a breakup, especially after someone cheats.

This dude posted this simply to stroke his ego. After all, hes "incredibly attractive" and "psychotic" about fitness with a well paying job in IB. He even has all the sex. This posts provides no value to TRP.

This is good advice. Unless you've gotten out of an abusive relationship, don't be a dick to her (or anyone for that matter)

I would add Corey Wayne's "How to be a 3% man" got out of an abusive relationship recently and it helped me immensely. Can't recommend that book enough.

I don't know man, I probably have an unpopular opinion here, but I think you should wait until she's finished with her finals. Granted, there's no "perfect" time to break up, but I think with how significant exams are, it would be pretty fucking respectful to wait until they're over. It doesn't sound like she fucked you over or is a total cunt. I think that alone deserves the respect to wait until exams are done. I broke up with my LTR four days before her birthday. She was fine, and went partyi…

Is the "fight for us" a common thing? I'm pretty new to TRP so I apologize if I'm unaware, but my ex dropped this line over and over and before I found TRP I had very little self respect and didn't have the balls to leave her. When she told me to fight for us it got me to stick around, so I'd be interested in learning more about this tactic of theirs.

Same thing happened with me. Blocked my ex from all social media, and now my friends say she's been all over their social medias, texting them to hang out (which they never did when we dated) and always being around where I was. Interesting how moving on with your life and focusing on the next step causes them to want to hang around.

it's usually the guys job to get a conversation going for the first couple of weeks of seeing each other. After that, if her attraction level is high enough she will most likely be the one reaching out to you.

Get as small of a gathering as possible, especially if you're at a big state school. Huge parties aren't ideal for meeting people because it's so impersonal, you meet a bunch of kids a night and don't remember any of them the next morning. Meet people on your floor, in your classes, and go from there.
