A hundred men fighting a gorilla sounds like a fun team building activity with a load of camaraderie and exercise involved.

I respect your point of view. But let me add, barbie is a franchise with dozens of movies aimed to young girls for at least two decades. And instead of following their stories and tropes, they took over the most simplistic form of "patriarchy". Where the women only effort was controlling the kens.

That movie is on par with Starship Troopers. When they went to parody something, but people understood it face value. On the Barbie movie, only Ken's have to work to reshape their world. They took over the Ken's and their whole world fell into shape without further effort.

The Barbie movie was a parody of feminism. It was so well crafted that most people took the bait, hook line and sinker.

Because feminism is a secular religion. It's disrespectful to challenge any of their principles and beliefs.

She just regurgitates men's rights talking points from other, less popular talking heads. It's all about the money she can get by being "one of the good ones".

Comedy usually comes from dark places. The way I see it, the women were led (willingly) and bited hook line and sinker and became the butt of the joke.

Live shows usually have people who lead the public reactions and sometimes specific sections of the audience are prompted to react and even practice the reaction before looking at the material. I would not discard SNL staff of creating that reaction for shock value and discourse.

I believe the cheers were prompted to set up the punchline.
